Very hypocritical take imo.
Simms often points to wins not being a QB stay, and that guys that are mediocre QB’s win many games on great teams while being average or below average at QB.
Why is he now citing wins as if it is on fields? There are countless drops by receivers in crunch time, and they had one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Why are wins important for fields but not other QB’s?
Simms points out that other teams have inadequate weapons, one example is vocally saying the bills lack weapons and have Davis is not a WR2.
How come he didn’t mention a single time that the bears starting WR’s were Mooney, ESB, Pettis. ESB and Pettis are both WR4. Mooney is a WR2/3. Not a single mention of this.
How can you tell the coaches didn’t trust fields? Is it possible they couldn’t pass because the OL was terrible at pass blocking? No mention of this either.
The fact people keeps bringing up “he only had 3 wins last year” well what the hell do you expect when the organization strips the team for a complete rebuild. Lmao we were “supposed” to win with the worst roster in the NFL?! Give me a break. It speaks to how great the kids is gonna be when he actually has weapons to work with.

I've never heard any of the talking heads mention the numerous drops in critical situations placed in the hands or chest of his pass catchers and how those drops factored in his QB rating or team losses. Also how does Simms know Justin Fields is not as good of a leader than Jalen Hurts? Has he been in a Bears huddle or locker room to credibily make such a bone head statement? Hell No! So I'm gonna enjoy seeing Justin wreck the NFL this season. It's gonna happen.

This guy had Zach Wilson as the #1 QB in the 2021 draft, so grain of salt.
Look at the situation Hurts is in vs Fields. It’s easy to be a good leader when an organization is invested in your future and already decided you’re the guy. Fields was learning a whole new offense and playing with arguably the worst skilled positions in football. Hurts has AJ Brown, Smith, Goddard plus the best offensive line in football. Don’t compare the two it’s so unfair
