Nice review. I have one small nit – you would actually use the range finder to validate the GPS reading not the other way around. The laser range finder error should be within +/- 1 yard while GPS error (without augmentation) is around 4 yards and with augmentation gets down to around 2 yards circular error probable (CEP – 50% of the measurements are within a 2 yard error) and within a 1 1/2 yard error 90% of the time. The GPS measurement is affected by lots of small error sources, like satellite geometry, satellite position error, ionospheric conditions and the time base of the receiver. Kinda nerdy and off topic, but again, nice review.
Good stuff, but you fell for their marketing gimmick. It has always been $259, never having retailed for $359.
Little bit of rain the unit quits working and the rangefinder holder photodegradeds after time and falls apart (needs UV protection)
