Seriously, regardless of what Eddie said, there is no way he can stay. It’s impossible. There’s been no coach in history who has survived this form. There’s just no way he can stay
So West Coast are publicly declaring they are essentially tanking for the rest of the season?
On the list development and trading strategies, good to see some acknowledgement now. Better late than never, some of the pundits have been calling for this for 2 years tho. Only about a third of these injuries are bad luck, the rest is poor fitness & standards ans conditioning, good to see some acknowledgement from the club there too. Mostly themselves to blame though for where they are that. Simmos too much of a nice guy and not ruthless enough, but believe he is a great game day coach, so glad to see them backing him in. Use the rest of the year to give some celebratory last games like they did for JK last year which was really done
Suddenly The Muppets from Victoria experts and psychologist seriously come on the media didn't give West Coast or Simpsons any credit when we won a flag but they love to lay the boots in when we're not succeeding
The aging list clean out is coming. Hawthorn traded out theirs while still having some value. West Coast will be a culling. But is there young talent out there that other clubs haven't already taken? Are there just dregs or is there players who can't get a chance because their current team is too good?
They may want the world best medicine person, but they will most likely not get best as they will be in the European football leagues, NBA, NFL etc.

After 2018 premiership, I saw how gracious collingwood and in particular eddie and bucks were in defeat. Since then I have massive respect for that club. It must of been hard for them but they are a very proud organisation and a fair one. To see eddie say the only possitive news from any vic journalists shows the class he has compared to his counterparts. This year i am barracking for collingwood and hope they win. Love their style of footy and Mcrae is a mans man. After this year go Blue and Gold!!

This is the truth. Adam Simpson needs to go just looking at his demeanour. He looks like he is at a funeral 24/7. The Eagles offer to Simpson to take 3 months off is code for “ we want you to go, but we’re not paying out your contract, so Adam…you need to consider that”.
You can be certain that if Simpson takes 3 months off, he won’t be back, but he will tough out not budging.
Unfortunately, no executive cares a hoot about any individual when things get tough. Look at the number of sacked or pressured coaches over time.
I’d sit tight if I was Simpson, and let things unravel. Take the 3 months off Adam and tell them in writing that you will definitely come back after that.

The reality is that Simpson won’t offer his resignation because if he does, Nisbett won’t pay out his contract. So the decay we see now is caused by Nisbett not biting the bullet
