Justin Fields gets a bad rap because he had no O line and no decent wide receivers. He was trying to throw to his receivers last year, but they couldn't get open and when they did, the ball would hit many parts of their bodies (upside the head, their chest, their shoulder, even bouncing off their hands) yet they couldn't seem to catch. I'm not even a Chicago fan, but I thought, "This kid can't catch a break." I wanted them to win just because Fields was putting in so much effort with some very close games. I feel like he's another Andrew Luck in the making if the Chicago front office and coaching staff doesn't get themselves together. None of the blame should be on Fields.

They were playing to their strengths. Their pass protection was awful, but the run protection was acceptable.

As a bears fan, my view is fields has to prove it. Ok, so he didn’t have the O line. But, he still has to prove he can make routine passes and read defenses. It’s promising, but we need to see it happen first.
