  2. Not to defend Toney but how do the FA work out the length of a ban? Joey Barton was banned for 18 months but he had 1260 bets that he had placed. Toney getting 8 months for under 300 doesn't seem to add up? Scott Kashket bet on 183 games, with some involving his own team! Yet he only got banned for 2 months. Tripper was part of essentially insider trading when he told his friends to put money on him moving to Athletico, he got a 10 week ban. Surely that behaviour is worse than a footballer having a bet on some games like Toney did?

    Seems pretty good basis for an appeal for Toney to get the length reduced.
