Im not someone that has watched a ton of golf in my life however. Since liv golf was born and all the drama started ive found it fascinating. I watch the majors religiously and its amazing and fun. Very wwe wcw from the 90s vibes. Ive also watched pga events like the heritage so i have no affinity for either but liv golf coming avout has been great for the game and actually made me watch pga events. So it works both ways. That said Brooksy needs to be on the team and i think if you ask the other eleven players at the time they will want him there. Be good if phil dj and bryson get on there too but if its just Brooksy ill still be happy
IF a LIV player qualifies for the Ryder Cup or a major tourmanent and those entities ban them from playing, it takes away that events credibility.

The PGA clearly mismanaged its franchise and mandate. They were poor stewards of their historic mantle and refused to give audience to Mickelson and others for proposals and ideas to evolve the game. After years of Tiger and others taking Saudi $ for appearance fees without batting an eyelash, the argument that now is the time to punish players for human rights violation money rings hollow. I would have never imagined the PGA could be this fragile, but Seth Waugh’s refusal to shake this Championship winner’s hand next to the Wanamaker says it all. Notwithstanding the weakness and complaining by the PGA, let’s unify the game for the good of all that it touches.

I think a lot of the players now secretly realize how much these guys defecting has benefited them. Would the PGA have made all the changes otherwise? In a decade or 2, I think these guys will be viewed much differently. The “Saudi Money” argument is so transparently hypocritical that it just won’t hold up as the only reason for much longer.

Brandel is really painful with his position on this (and most things actually). If some rival golf channel turned up and offered him double salary – he'd be the first to go. Then consider Australian tournament golf. Deprived of the best players who struggled to get releases from the US & Euro tours, Australia tournaments have basically died. So you could argue that the US Tour with its market power killed Australian (and many other countries) big events. LIV GOLF did an event here last month with their players – it was great – we're thankful they came.

Golf is Golf and because of the PGA, the DP tour lost some of the best to play in the Ryder cup,,,the PGA is holding Golf back, while its trying to make a few changes, which will not hurt golf.
