  1. Maybe we didn't have Jetgate, but we certainly watched a live feed of the Gainesville airport for hours to see when Chip Kelly was landing. Spoiler…he didn't land.

  5. Thank you for being the only people who bring up the topic of all the excessive non conference games Striklin booked. The dangus went bonkers booking all these cross country non conf games that have Fla playing 2-3 and even 4 Power 5 Non Conf games in a season. This is with the current schedule which will only get worse with a 9 game SEC schedule.

No other program in the country has a schedule like Fla’s over the next decade. Booking all these long distance home and homes was ridiculous. All it did was cater to non Gator fans who complain about Fla playing many games in the state of Fla or the SE region of the US.

If Fla wants another Power 5 Non Conf games then book schools like Miami, UCF (2 for 1) GT, UNC, Clem etc. as they are geographically closer and more important for recruiting than say Colo, Utah, AZ St etc.

Also, this puts Fla in a major disadvantage with the CFB playoff as it will still prioritize conference champions and teams with better records from lesser conferences than say a 2-4 loss SEC a team. Especially a team like Fla who will have anywhere from 10-12 “Power 5” games on the schedule.
