How Dalton Kincaid Could Change The Identity Of The Offense | Bills by the Numbers Ep. 62

On this week’s episode of Bills by the Numbers presented by FanDuel, Chris Brown and Steve Tasker take a look at how the first round selection of TE Dalton Kincaid could impact the Bills offense. They discuss how his playmaking skillset could change the identity of the Bills scheme and how the pairing with veteran Dawson Knox could pay off. USA Today NFL editor Doug Farrar joins the guys to discuss the history of a double tight end set and how successful it has been in the NFL. Steve is quizzed on tight end draft history in The Numbers Game and the guys try to project a realistic catch total for Kincaid this season.

  1. New offensive mindset! Run game has been installed and that means more production from the passing attack! Aka play action

  2. Never under estimate the old school stubbornness from MCD … we could easily see both Kincaid and Torrence as bench warmers in lieu of less talented but more experienced players 🙁

  3. If kincaid get 20 catches it will be a excellent season . i expect him doing shakir numbers as he earns his touches

  4. Regarding targets. In 12, Kincaid will be in line or flexed to slot with 2 outside receivers. In 11, Kincaid won't always be on field. The only position that looses targets to Kincaid is the slot and which ever receive/receivers plays the slot besides him, regardless of 11 or 12. If he's inline, there will be NO SLOT, unless a Wideout lines up in slot instead of out wide. Can only have 2 quote WR if in 12. Tbis inpy changes if they go empty, and back plays slot in 12. Bottom line about 60 to 70 % or so of Beasley's targets in 2021 will likely go Kincaid's way. Providing he is able to play as well in NFL as he did in college.

  5. Great practice for our secondary as well tge better he gets the better we will be prepared for kelce types

  6. Not sure how much he'll produce his 1st year like all rookie TEs don't still need a #2 WR better than Davis, Diggs will still be getting doubled every game.. Hopkins puts them over the top & no way they don't go with him at 2

  7. It HAS to be an identity. You just paid a TE top 10 money and drafted one 25 overall. Im not saying that's all they do, but it most likely will be a high percentage of snaps.

  8. It’s all going to depend on Dorsey this year. If he thinks he’s going to just do exactly what we did last year then we are in trouble! Defenses figured it out

  9. 9:25 I said the same thing in the comments of a @BuffaloPlus video about using offensive weapons and they told me I was wrong and that the Bills have started and utilized offensive rookies fine in recent history….. lol

  10. If he’s playing the Beasley role. It’s 12 just because there are 2 TEs but schematically it’s still like 11.

  11. If he can be JOSH ALLEN security blanket like KELCE is to Mahomes and GRONK is to Brady. The BILLS will challenge the Chiefs every year.
