I love stories like the general meeting and how it led to zohan.i could listen to a podcast about how actors got roles and who they had to beat out.who beat them out would be cool also.

Connolly is so different when it’s just him. I like the gang of course but this was more in depth, more of an interview sort of thing, really liked this episode.

The writers want money? They are horrible, they barely write an original movie! There not funny on late night! Tv shoes are written horrid and when you watch the tv show back your baffled they didn’t change things! So why in hell do these people think they deserve more? Clearly they don’t have social media, not a lot of people raving about the writers these days!

The writer's strike was bound to happen because AI is becoming more prevalent. Also, as a writer for 30 years, its essentially indentured servitude when you compare the income of producers & actors on a project. However, the guild as well as producers engage in gatekeeping & controlling the wealth through nepotism & laziness with reading. If the platform was actually open to writers as opposed to wealthy children with connections, the need to strike against AI & lower pay might not exist.

The problem with actors during most of Covid is that they don't ever wear masks on set. They were are above the rules that the rest of the crew had to follow. As a crew person we were more worried about getting infected from the actors than each other. Yes, the show can't go on without the actors but we are not expendable to our families either. On one tv show I worked on half the lead actors had Covid during the last shoot season.
There is no reason why actors can't wear masks during blocking or while waiting for long periods. I completely understand the problem with elastic band marks on their faces but there were alternative choices. No mask for actors all the time was not the way to go.
