In this weeks #tourtrucktuesday upload TaylorMade Staff Professional Al Geiberger Jr gives an in depth breakdown as to how your chipping technique can help you control the spin and trajectory with your wedges.

We will break down spin loft and look at leading PGA Tour Professionals Jason Day & Tiger Woods to compare how the games best master the short game.

  1. Al all round a green going into different lies etc using this vid as the foundation would be great!

  2. Trottie you’re great & there’s some real gold in here but possibly highlights why you are so good at leading a conversation but marginally less so at being 2nd fiddle😉

  3. Thanks Trottie. loved the video. There is some amazing points in here. I am getting the turn in my body, getting the path correctly. However I am incredibly terrible at decelerating and not following through. I have a terrible habit of always stopping my follow through and almost like punching at the ball. Any drills for making sure I can continue the follow through?

  4. The bromance continues! We love to see it. And some next level-weapon-grade onions being dropped by Al there. I’ll be rewatching this a few times and getting out in the garden with my wedges. Thanks again Trotty!

  5. put her on a 3" tee and keep the butt end in line with the belly button. love this explanation real equalizer in the long run 👌

  6. What I haven’t seen anyone talk about that has made this much easier to execute for me is how the shoulders do a lot of the work by rocking up/down/up with a smooth tempo and take a lot of your hands out of it.

I think the terms shallow and steep are confusing to a lot of rec players. I was very inconsistent chipper until it clicked by watching some other videos that let your shoulders rock back and thru helps control low point. I incorrectly believed, because I never saw it explained properly, that you should turn shoulders (more flatly), which I see a lot of rec players doing. I believe that’s due to lack of understanding because it’s not discussed and is taken for granted by teachers.

  7. Trottie: when you have guests on.. let them finish a sentence first… especially if YOU asked a question… sheeesh man

  8. A bit annoying, Trottie too often talked over Al Geiberger Jr interrupting his point and disrupting the flow of the video.

  9. So good! Good job explaining the fundamentals of the short game will definitely give these a go, cheers

  10. Hey trottie I love your content and was looking back at your old vids and saw your home golf mat I was wondering how you built that into the grass

  11. Yo Trottie, great stuff. Can you recommend a wedge and degree? I go from PW to putter and think a wedge would be helpful. Thanks

  12. This helped from 100 and in. Way more accurate. How does this relate to Phil's hinge and hold video?

  13. Please, wear a second mic if you’re going to talk the whole time. Your back and forth was good but it seemed like you were just background noise interrupting the instructor and it was very annoying.
