There are no superstars in this year's Derby
SDS will go straight back to ride regular for C. Johnston, and I imagine will be in demand for other trainers as well, he can do low weights and is a top quality jockey. The debate about how he will get on coming back is silly. He left because he wanted to try something new, not because he was a washed up getting no rides.
I haven't watched Irish racing for years got sick to death of seeing Aidan O'Brien/ W. Mullins win everything. No fun and dull not entertaining at all gets worse every year. Aintree is better than Cheltenham for me less emphasis on Mullins and more focus on our British horses we've been following through the season that actually have a chance of winning. Yes they are fantastic trainers but so are others if given the opportunity.
High Definition went off favourite for the Irish Derby and was long term Derby fav. Bolshoi Ballet last year again was d*g sh^t. Says it all aboit the Obrien hype machine. Use your own eyes. Auguste Rodin lay lay lay lay all day long. IMaybe back him for the 2025 Ballymore makes more sense to me. I think the Dante winner will go on to win at Epsom. Backed Canberra Legend at 85/1 antepost. i hope he can improve to take this and go on to Epsom success.But can see the Passenger angle.
Can’t wait for the Derby but disappointed it’s now being run at 1.30pm (2nd race of the day) due to the FA Cup, could have been run later in the day.
Willie sends all his horses out to win all the time. And their always trying to win. The others are only trying to win when it suits and the horses get used to not trying. Life in the parks ride at limerick was laughable and then it went to punchestown they wanted to win but the horse was comfortable not bothering by that stage.
