The favoritism is beyond ridiculous not only in this discipline but in moto x too. I’ve seen so many people get robbed in this x games edition. Shibata deserved at least 2nd.

Skating has gotten ridiculous… Moro had style, and way more diverse thought out line than Gui

That 1st run by Moto was incredible, literally jaw dropping.
Yo x-games Japan is sketchy AF. Every last competition was judged incredibly poorly, and/or appeared to be pure favoritism. Not one single comp has ended the way most would think
As I look throughout the comments, I see many have the same feelings as myself. Judging was really weird, that Moto Shibata run was amazing, and the commentary was garbage, nothing like the older vert contests that are available to watch on youtube.
I understand that technical skills are also highly valued, however, given that Gui is out here doing 900s in his runs cleanly but only scoring 80s is weird. It's a very specific skill that rarely anyone else can do at all, let alone in a run, and that should count for something significant. Moto's run as well, while comprised of moves he's done before, was still incredibly impressive and very clean. That first run by Moto was absolutely everything; this was questionable judging at best, not sure what happened here.
