How To Hit Driver Straight (Just Try It)

Everyone wants to learn how to hit the driver straight. Straighter drives means more fairways which turns into lower scores.

This tip is unlike anything you have tried in the past. Obviously, if you are watching this how to hit driver straight tip what you worked on in the past did not work. So this is new. It uses simple physics to allow you to hit the driver straighter than every before.

To me, the driver is the most important club in your bag so learning how to hit the driver straight is vital to playing great golf. Playing from the fairway is so much easier than playing from the rough. Watch this tip then start working on it right away. It’s simple so anyone can do this if they know what to work on. Within a few balls you will hit the driver straight and be able to repeat it forever.

  1. Paul I’m really enjoying using your teaching but my bad shot is a straight block to the right. Do you think that’s a club face or a weight transfer issue?

  2. My issue is that people say to hit up on the ball by leaning to the right which opens the face and causes a slice.

  3. Paul just for clarity since you didn't do a side view of your pre swing set up…are your arms straight out like Moe Norman or are the straight with the club slightly bent at the hands? Hope this question is clear.

  4. That combined with some loose wrists, and a pre shot routine where I feel the weight of the club intentionally, I hit good shots. Thanks Paul !

  5. I’m curious if you have any opinions that you’d like to share about equipment such as shaft lengths lofts etc for the average recreational golfer. Anything that will help maximize your methods.

  6. An issue i have is keeping my lead arm straight throughout the entire swing. Noticed that you do not. Any videos on this? Seems like if i get the lead arm straight at impact it should not matter.

  7. Paul – some club manufactures have come out with lighter clubs – marketed to those with slower swing speeds – with the notion that lighter clubs mean you can swing them faster for more club head speed , thus more distance. Do you agree with this? In following you for many years , I know you want the club head ( especially with driver ), to feel heavier in your hands.
