Give each school the option to take responsibility for marketing their own product. Set up a revenue sharing plan that assigns each school certain territorial rights based on TV/media coverage by typical stations. The entire league could benefit if for example incoming SDSU were motivated and given the means to retake SoCal retaking some of that UCLA and USC audience that's leaving. Already, SDSU has a better basketball program than both those schools (despite UCLA having a good 2022-2023 year) and there's promise although a lot of work left to raise the football program to league elite status. Marketed properly, SDSU could be instrumental getting the Los Angeles and Inland Empire market to continue to tune in to see SDSU and the traditional PAC-12 powers when UCLA/USC aren't faring as well. Can the PAC-12 be competitive? SDSU might be the anchor to drawing interest watching the PAC-12 in SoCal in general even if not on ESPN or Fox.
