Good stuff Hodgey I have been asking about Buddy on the wing for the past year as well. He's an obvious target and great field kick, so think that has merits even if he can't run out a full game. Throw the cat amongst the pigeons and make the opposition coach think on his feet for a bit. Saying that we are lacking talls all over the ground and need him forward as well, but once a couple come back love the idea.
For all his detractors, I love that Kane gets in there and makes controversial calls that get us all talking about footy!! Lotsa guys sit on the fence or don't venture anything. He's clearly biased towards Port and don't know if there's more of a story on the grudge with North. But rather that than the vanilla analysis that you get from others, as TJ would say. I don't think it's a case of brining in outside help as far as ball skills are concerned at Carlton. This is a psychological and cultural problem that exists in the playing group and bleeds down to the new recruits and younger guys. They have to fix it at the root and instil confidence or think about changing up on field leadership and maybe making some calls on the list at the end of the year.
everyone loves to point out Essendon play North and West Coast twice this year but never seem to want to point out we also play Collingwood and Geelong twice. Two teams that finished on the other side of the ladder from us last year and are absolutely flying again this year.
At this stage Kane is just getting annoying with the JHF stuff. As a neutral, it’s a bit sickening that he continues to comment on his form and then jabs north.
