Nearly every pundit had us down. From Youtubers, TV pundits, and even ex-managers – as Harry Redknapp came on the channel to suggest Bournemouth might be doomed! But how did they get it so badly wrong, and why didn’t our takeover and January transfer business make any of their ears prick up?
Sam and Tom discuss the Cherries season, and ponder whether our survival with games to spare might actually enable us to shake off the “little old Bournemouth” tag, especially with plans afoot to build a new stadium and improve our facilities.
Despite our abject loss to Palace, which we discuss, these really are exciting times!

I always held faith, you guys were disappointing at times, but the ability to play at pace. Man City fan here since the first match of the season.

Hi Sam & Tom, I went to the Palace game with my son who is 17 and he was asked to show ID at the first point of the security checks! He had his provisional licence and I think they wrote his name and seat number down? I asked if they wanted my ID and I was told “no it’s ok we trust you”???
It was actually so annoying at the start of the season seeing everyone online saying we were 20th like not even 19th we had to be dead last. So proud of all the boys.

The whole ticket thing makes me nervous as an American supporter who is coming over to England in September. Ticket purchasing is sooooo much different than it is here in the states so I’m even more worried I won’t snag a couple
When we've got a ground with a slightly higher capacity than Halifax Town it's no wonder people under rate us and don't take us seriously. Saying that I think the little Bournemouth thing has worked for us at times.
I had you relegated because the captain of your ship was, to use your words, a dickhead. On that we can all agree. He was "under-equipped at this level" and not remotely at the standard required. You'd have gone down in a blaze of tedium.
The pundits and YouTube crowd had you down because they don't give a toss. Who came up? That's who's getting relegated. Oh, oh… no, wait. Nottingham Forest won a few things once and they've spent money. Big club. They'll stay up fine. Nineteenth and twentieth places are set in stone, though.
When it comes to my beloved Bournemouth my heart rules my head. We were never going down in my eyes. Up the cherries🎉💪🏼🍒
