We break down the truth about the Toronto Maple Leafs vs the Florida Panthers & why the lack of adjustments & star power gave the Leafs the result that they deserved.

  1. Funny lwafs fans are quick to forget that tampa scored "after the whistle"

  2. I can't wait for The OFFICIALS to get what they deserve, let me know when and I'll subscribe

  3. All you have to look at are the brused faces of the player's who gave 110 percent the four who get the most money have no war injuries by the way the four who got Babcock fired because he was to tough but he has Stanley cup rings and gold Olympic medals he understands work not we had more shots on net than the other team like the coach and gm the game is played on the ice not on a score sheet.
By the way I am a
    Chicago fan

  4. Oh, Canada. Your hopes of not making the Cup drought 31 years is now down to one one underachieving franchise. This is not a good start to the 4th decade of ineptitude. Everyone talks about how great McDavid is, but he has more talent around him than many stars did who were successful in the playoffs and has managed very little team success. At least he will have a collection of Harts, right? There is always Year 32!

  5. Can't pay 4 players half your salary. Have to get players to buy in to have an evenly distributed lineup. Just like the Buffalo Sabres are doing right meow

  6. In the playoffs goaltending is key, if Edmonton had it they would be unstoppable! The Leafs did well this year and if Woll started as the #1 we would be in a much different spot right now (meaning still in it) . I say give it one more go with him as are number 1!!! P.s beware the sneaky hab fans posing as leaf fans bashing the boys in blue! Go Leafs Go

  7. The no goal call was obviously the correct call. Leaf fans are absolute clowns trying to act like it should have counted. There is no reality that counts for any team. It didnt even go in. That screenshot in the clip was after the whistle blew and you can see it goes in when Bob lifts his pad to stand, and wasnt in prior. The puck didnt look like it went in on the initial attempt by Reilly, but even if it did, its getting called back for goalie interference cuz you can see Reilly pushed Bobs pad with his stick. Its no goal. Suck it Leafs.

And the Gudas "stick hold", he only grabs the stick cuz Jarnkrok puts his stick in between Gudas legs in the first place. Gudas is just reaching down and removing it from that area. Even if he doesnt grab the stick, Jarnkrok isnt getting his stick on Cousins cuz it would be trapped between Gudas skates.

  8. Leaf's are too focused with relying on and blaming their "top 4". You need more than a "top 4" to win in the playoffs. The rest of the team is relatively mediocre. That is their problem. If the leaf's were smart at all, they would look to acquire better 3rd/4th line players that are gritty but also skilled. Look at the lightning, Stamkos & Hedman were on the team over a decade before the Lightning won, they had their ups and downs and embarrassments. Look at when they got swept by Columbus, the answer wasn't "These guys are only good in the regular season", they reworked the teams entire playstyle and added more pieces to support that. Leaf's are in a similar situation. The difference though is that the Leaf's are in a city that would rather point fingers and blame scapegoats than seriously win a cup. Drunk on their own misery.

As someone who thinks the attitude of the Toronto media and the views of large parts of that fan base are the true bottom feeders in the league, I thoroughly support them getting rid of players in their top 4, resign Dubas, and pretend that veteran players want to play for a city that will stab them in the back the moment things get tough. it'll just be more entertainment for the rest of the league.

  9. Of course they did, they were always overrated. Yeah they have 4 elite forwards but their D is MID af and their goaltending is bang average. You're not winning a cup with a roster built like that. Rielly is a good offensive dman but not a truly elite #1 and the rest of their blue line is nothing to write home about.

  10. the HNIC curse…. their favouritism has built a huge amount of negative karma from the rest of canada that both hope for and relish a leaf loss.
imagine having to watch the sh!t leafs every saturday for decades when you're a fan of another canadian team
first round jets vs vegas and between periods the panel talks leafs. i bet they still talk leafs between periods and leafs are out. cringy

  11. The young players are doing well and now have a playoff series win under their belts. Tavares doesn't fit that mold, he was supposed to be the leader to take them further.

  12. Those guys need to take pay cuts in and bring in better players its a team sport 4 guys don't even make up 1 line

  13. I do think as Montreal Canadiens fan the Leafs should do a clean up by getting rid of Tavares, O'Reilly, Schenn and also Giardino and think for younger
players. Defencemen were not fast enoug except Reilly it should build the young defencemen around him and restart from there. The goalie Holl gave
him a chance to show what is capable of. Dubas, Shanahan should be out and keep Keefe as their coach. So it my own evaluation I am not expert but
I have seen what Toronto Maple Leafs are missing terribly. Salary cap is a burden for the entire organisation unless Toronto will make some trade.

  14. It's not just what the Leafs want to change, but what other teams will consider in terms of trades.

I thought Reilly consistently performed throughout all eleven games. Nylander had moments he disappeared, and he still needs to backcheck, but against Florida he was their best forward.

The Leafs are stuck with that albatross of a contract that they owe Tavares. To move him they'd have to eat a lot of salary. Marner and Matthews' salaries are almost impossible to deal; they certainly wouldn't get what they are worth in either of them.

It was a lot easier running a team pre-salary cap. The Leafs could keep the four and just build up the rest of the team.

They do seem almost overloaded in net. Woll looks really good, and could become the number one within a year or two.

  15. Bobrovski won this series in the first three games. I was at game 2 where he made multiple game saving saves in the second half of the 3rd period. He did the same thing against Boston. He has found his form from 2019. We'll see if he can keep it up long enough to win.

  16. Fascinating – the expertise and perspicacity of "Hockey Psychology" on display – an amazing achievement, HP… really, deeply deeply impressive… Monday morning quarterbacking and crapping on the losers. I think you could have rendered the video a little briefer by simply yelling "LEAFS SUCK HAR HAR, GO CANES!!!!". Would have amounted to about the same as an intellectual exercise… 😁

  17. Sad. Leafs knew that Boston got turfed, yet they find yet another way to disappoint, not a leaf fan just because i don't want to be in some kind of cult thinking "this is the year "😢😢😢

  18. The Kraken has won as many playoff rounds in two seasons as the TML have in 19, and the Kraken may advance past Dallas. Blow it up from top to bottom. And I am not even a Leafs fan. You have to hate losing, and apparently, some highly-paid players are not too bothered by repeated failure.

  19. Im so sick of this. Take a good look at those fans chanting "we want florida" in maple leaf square. They are all 21 and younger. Stop generalizing an entire fan base based on one video of what minors want. Im a leafs fan and I actually wanted boston

  20. Leafs definitely aren't going anywhere until Matthews shaves that shitty mustache off. Good grief son, give it up already.

  21. I think Keefe and Tavares need to go. Unfortunately, with his unbelievable contract, Tavares isn't going anywhere unless he retires. Keefe, though, should be switched out for someone with actual coaching experience in the NHL. Someone that can work on the attitudes of the big players and smarten everyone up. If the coaching is switched then I hope it might shake things up. But being stuck with a Tavares past his prime who is soaking up a huge chunk of the salary cap is going to seriously hinder this team. An extra million or two could have added another depth piece, or been put towards filling a hole somewhere. Instead it sits in Tavares' pocket while the team fails time and time again
