Who are these guys exactly?
If the PGA Tour came up with the same idea, would they've said the same thing?
LIV is trying to reinvent the wheel, and the square design they have produced is causing a rather stilted ride.
The thing ideas and format aren’t stupid, the problem is that you don’t feel any stakes and pressure watching the players
The one thing these boys are not taking into account is the massive shift in your mental focus on the game. Cam, Koepka, Bryson, Reid, Dusty, these guys are done, they have cashed in and are on a totally new road; if you don't think this will effect their golf game, and in a massive way, you really do not know golf. It will be exceedingly difficult for these boys to shift gears for Major golf; since that train has already left the station. Look at the competition this past week, Charles the Third wins, everybody else checks out.
The CW Network ratings for the debut show says it all — niche viewing for 19th hole muni course dudes and bros.
The only thing that bothers me about LIV is that those players don’t care about the outcome/winning. Those guys are cashing checks, which good for them. But they don’t care. Just ask Pat Perez. Lol
Maybe have a qualifier where 4 amateurs can join and put a little pressure on the pros.
