How can they make this error? Why did they make this error? The DP World Tour has been forced to apologise after derailing a player’s season due to an administrative error. Stephen Gallacher, a four-time DP World Tour winner and a member of the 2014 European Ryder Cup team, has had a roller-coaster past few months as a result. Which is totally unfair.

So if he misses out on an end of season top 10 money list finish by say 100 points how does the DP World then compensate him as he has then missed out on a PGA slot for 2024. because they screwed up
The DP Tour seems to have lost it to the same extent as the PGA. The male golf business seems to be in total catastrophe
I would presume Gallacher probably got a bloodsucking leech of an attorney and approached Keith Pelley and the DP Tour about the possibility of a lawsuit and, just maybe, he was slipped somewhere around $500K with an agreement that he gets his card this year and next year. Then, he could afford to be magnanimous and say all the right things as he has. IMO, there's something happening here that has yet to be reported.
Disgraceful, should never be able to happened, totally agree with you they should compensate him with full playing rights for next year, if for nothing else that they have stolen from him the opportunity to play and earn money in a number of tour evens.That may have had a detrimental impact on his ability to qualify for his future playing rights and Career.
Agreed. If they could be so careless about someone’s career, that person should be given an exemption foe the next year to offset the error caused by the organization. Otherwise, LIV tour could, perhaps, pickup a talented golfer?
They make millions if they play well, if they don’t get a real job, exemptions take away from someone else, they be given with time restrictions!

He should be free to play next year. Or at least the events that he missed – then they should work out his status. If he makes enough money this year and for the missed events next year he’s in for next year…. At the very minimum…
We need to stop making excuses for peoples mistakes. In this day and age, there is no excuse for not having the correct processes in place to ensure mistakes like this do not occur.
“This should never ever happen” people drive me insane. Must be good to never had made a mistake. Yes, this is bad, but get a grip.

Automatic exemption for this year so no pressure on him. I think Steven is near the record for highest number of European tour starts. To think his uncle is a Ryder cup winning captain as well. DP have sold out to pgatour imo.
This happens when you get pure idiot’s trying run professional sport, he should get at least 50% of potential winner’s cheques, paid out of DP and PGA tour funds they wouldn’t be so bloody quick at punishing any of the players so quickly, they should be paying , financially, for their stupid mistakes, couldn’t run a piss up in a brewery.
Well, with it seeming like a feeder tour for the PGA Tour, perhaps the PGA Tour is doing all their admin for them as well?😂
