  1. I didn’t understand why other wrestling podcasts make fun of Christian until todays episode. Christian sounds like a whining, woke, soccer mom “Karen.” Shane, thankfully, knows what’s up.

  2. Early commits often end up changing their mind. They have to do what's right for them. It's a lot of pressure on a teen. They have to find the right fit.

Iowa having 3 Ferraris could be great for them. But at what cost if all the rumors are true. All we have heard from Iowa during the Spencer Lee era was go Hawks, these are my teammates, these are my brothers. Will that continue with the Ferraris? Short term gain for long term loss. I hope they become part of the Hawks brotherhood.

  3. Wow. My age is showing. I was in high school watching vision quest. Loved it like Shane. It was different, we did not see it as not family friendly. About the drinking. Most states the drinking age was 18 back then. Of course many of the things back then would be scandal today. Thank god we did not have social media to broadcast our stupidity. Reminder the 80's gave us teen movies like Ferris Buller and Fast Times as Ridgemont high.

  4. Shane mentioned Win Win. That is a great movie. As a wrestler for me is was Vision Quest. As a coach Win Win is the movie. The scene when they send the kid out to just not get pinned so they can win the dual nails it. Every coach has has moments like that.

  5. How did they fail to mention that Masons was in the movie? It’s a great 80’s movie and a fantastic soundtrack!

  6. Vision Quest match with Shute and Louden scoring inconsistencies is most likely due to the editing to keep the action and buildup more exciting at the cost of continuity more than anything. 100% they rearranged shots for creative reasons and building the drama and that was why the scoring was whack. The director/editor probably knew nothing about the sport and had a consultant while filming and ultimately figured not enough people would follow the scoring or realize it. This happens all the time in film and editing the final cut.

  7. I watched this as a kid and was blown away with the option to defer to the third period! Didn’t Vision Quest introduce that? LOL

  8. For those that don't want to watch the full episode, I told chat gbt to make a summary:
