There's 3 players in the league who can bother Jokic on defense and do 60-80% what he does on offense. Giannis got bounced round 1, Embiid is in a dogfight with Boston, and somehow AD and the Lakers are up 3-2 vs the Ws. If Boston wins game 7 and GSW pulls off the improbable, hang the banner, the Nuggets are winning the Finals in a gentleman's sweep at the absolute worst.
There isn't a single player in the league matching his combined offensive and defensive impact. I don't think there's any player in league history who could guard him and actually put him off his game for a series to be quite honest. He is hilariously and frustratingly patient and polished. The guy rarely misses something on the offensive side of the ball. Nothing about his game is flashy and nothing about his success has to do with some natural physical gift (aside from being the 6'11" you need to be to play center in the NBA). He has genuinely maxed out what it means to be a basketball player despite being an average at best athlete. I shudder to think what Jokic would be if you could fuse his mind and basketball IQ with an S tier physical gifts.
