  1. You can’t even compare the two. You’re a player who’s not getting very far in competitions hedging your bets for a paycheck on the side of playing.

Ronnie has done more in the sport than you will ever do. The same rules don’t apply. It’s like saying “Ronnie has won a tournament whilst not playing his best, why haven’t I” you’re not Ronnie.

  2. Very arrogant people in the comments here. What Shaun is talking about is the criticism he got of going into commentating whilst still being a professional player. What is also cut is that he mentions Denis Taylor who is someone that commentated whilst still competing in tournaments 40 years ago, as does Ronnie now. It is in no way a critique of those people, just a question of why he gets more than others, not that there should be any in the first place.

  3. You are a boring man when you do this. Stick to playing snooker and please stop moaning.

  4. Shaun murphy wants it to be shaun murphy vs shaun murphy with shaun murphy as ref and shaun murphy in commentary and shaun murphy in crowd watching front row applauding every shot they take giving the occasional disgruntled face when he recognises his own genius abandon him (in his own head)

  5. Oh, you think it's just criticism. You're a f*cking choir boy compared to Ronnie. One that doesn't stop crying about not getting their way.

  6. No, WRONG! Ronnie is never in the Eurosport box while he's still actively in the tournament. Huge difference. As a fan and a punter I do not like it. Seems you can't be 100% focused if you're doing both. Simples.

  7. You get that criticism because you're a particularly terse character. I recently met you at Ale Palace and was quite taken back by how unfriendly you were. But then again, so is Ronnie

  8. I think your a good commentator although you don't very often speak honestly about a bad shot or maybe a wrong shot selection.
That being said I agree you shouldn't be getting criticized for moving into commentary as a career when you finally end your great playing career.
I remember you playing as teen when you lived in Northants 🙂

  9. Such an ego inflated whinge-bag! Sick of hearing him complain. Aside from anything else, he's just not a good commentator. Too many over-rehearsed lines with an overly indulgent commentator voice. Keeps saying certain things over and over again as if he's trying to cash himself a JV level catchphrase. Overly critical himself of players shots. Often biased because he does still be in the tournaments when he's on comms. Ronnie has earned the right to do what he wants, you're no Ronnie!

  10. Its because you have the personality of a brick and a droning voice and are not as popular and havnt been in the public eye longer. Life isn't fair but there are reasons
