  1. Love the focus on tempo Alex, the one thing that kind of haunts my golf game. Gonna try the 123 first. Have heard people who use a phrase instead that corresponds to the 123 elements.

  2. No tension, smooth back swing, la te da, my thought process is like pulling an elastic band and releasing it👍

  3. Alex I am 80 years old and been playing golf for 15 year I play off 21 handicap what I find strange is that I can usually hit my 3 wood off tee further than my driver any thoughts as to why.

  4. Alex Elliott is putting himself out there as YT greatest golf coach, simple and straight to the point, awesome ❤

  5. you've talked about the ghost as well, which I found very helpful. I have also used, and need to remember the 130-140 swing. thanks alex…RJ

  6. I was at the driving range yesterday, and I was practising a slower takeaway, concentrating on keeping my head down and eyes just in front of the ball and hitting with a slightly slower smoother down swing. This was with my longer irons. I found my accuracy and distance became more consistent.
Hope it works on the course tomorrow 😂.
I will try 1,2,3 with my driver. Thanks.

  7. Am I the only one who likes how the new Puma GS Fast spikeless shoes scream "GOLF!" on the bottom after hitting a shot away? 😂😂😂

    #GOLF💥

  8. Agree tempo, try to thrash it its like Gladiator "unleash hell" you could throw a slow "and four" at the end as you watch your ball fly down the fairway your posture akin to a golf god and roars of "shot" ring out from the tee que😅

  9. Thanks Alex, I DO have that problem, swinging hard but ball is all over the place. Can't wait to get to the range tomorrow and try your tips! Hey most have worked for me so far!

  10. Added to the previous drill, this is a great mind set and pre shot routine. Thanks again.

  11. I try to smash a drive on the 18th hole every time I go out. It never goes further than the drive I hit first. Most of the time results in a lost ball.

  12. I get nightmare from slice and too low flight for half year and I just fix it before watch this video, I loose my grip and wrist, reduce speed from 90% to 60-70% and swing with smooth tempo that I feel comfortable
Finally, I hit driver and fairway wood more on sweet spot, get more distance, better direction and better ball flight with effortless ( I very surprise how I get more distance with less swing spped )
I guarantee 100% this video is work ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

  13. How weird is this I've started doing this for the last few weeks and came runner up in my last weekend competition scoring 45 points and dropping from 28.5 down to 20.2 so for anyone who is watching this and thinking will this work well trust me it does. Keep the tips coming Alex.
    Cheers Steven.

  14. Great video. Chris Ryan put a similar one up recently, and that has completely changed my game in a matter of weeks. Was struggling to get Driver over 200 meters (roughly 220 yards), and was often fluctuating between 180 – 200 meters. Really focussing on this exact drill has seen my drives be more consistently straight, and I've very quickly jumped up to about 230 meters (around 250 yards). I've got a bad back and I do not have a fast swing (around 90 mph), and this right here has seen an absolute transformation with all clubs.

  15. How do you stop the panic in your brain when trying to swing slower?

I have a fear of the misshit if I try and take metres off a club which often results in a fat and that really takes metres off the club, so I always opt for the one I know I have to hit well and take solace knowing "that length". Its usually 3/4s of the way on the backswing when the voice inside shouts "hit it", this rushes the downswing and whilst it can result in a long game from irons, woods are all over the place

  16. yep, I've been focusing on a smooth swing instead of a hard swing, and it's been working great for me.

  17. Nice drives Alex! Got to try the “Hit it 130 Yards “ method. Why is it that for me anyway, it goes out the window when I’m on the box? That “want to rip it” thought takes over. Make it stop ! Lol

  18. Great advice…my longest drives and really any shots are definitely with tempo 👍
