  1. My question is this: a bruised foot was 'discovered' by the vets this morning, so, how did Pletcher NOT know about the injury? Was Pletcher going to run the race anyway?? Shouldn't Churchill Downs conduct one of their Trainer Witch Hunts???

  2. It's highly unlikely a vaccinated racehorse would get a fever due to natural causes; It's due to sterroids or something.

  3. I'm extremely disappointed that Forte is out, but I commend his owner & trainer for choosing the horse's welfare over anything else. Good call. ❤ Scratching the horses should cast NO shadows on the horses, the people, or the reputation of racing. This is the intelligent, compassionate choice. Don't make it into a big deal, news nerds. SO-OO much better than broken legs & dead horses.

  4. It's a LONG RACE for 3 year olds. They are still babies and break easily at this young age.

  5. Five horses out of the Derby? My opinion is that the Churchill Downs track superintendent must have prepared that track by really hardening it to make fast times for the Derby. Unfortunately, the horses paid the price.

  6. Hope they didn't give all these horses same experimental scams given far and wide to humans and zoo animals who are mysteriously sickened and dying suddenly? Athletes around world dying suddenly, pilots dying suddenly, zoo animals dying suddenly, and now racehorses dying suddenly.
