  1. I use my 3 wood off the tee and place it in the fairway longer than my driver around 230 yards.

Still a begginer, 3rd season starting.

I would love to try and get more distance.

Seeing someone in my situation hit this would be awesome.

    Thanks

  2. I recommend NOT hitting mini driver like a regular driver. They perform best when teed down slightly (I only have a small amount of the ball above the crown, unlike standard driver) and using a more shallow AoA into impact. Basically, hit it like a teed up 3 wood not a driver. Produces much more consistent results and dramatically better feel.

  3. I would rather have a consistent smash & ball speed than having a wide variable. Which is why you are more consistent hitting an 8 iron vs 5 iron, yes it's a shorter shaft, but your strikes are far more in the center of the face rather than toe/heal shots.
I'm going to try and hit one this weekend. I got the PXG with that longer shaft and I just keep hitting toe shots, never happened to me before with my Pings, which had shorter shafts.

  4. I bought the 13.5 to use as a 3-wood replacement off the tee on tighter holes. I can loft it down to 11.5° I’m just shorten my distance up a bit over my standard 10° driver, or I can loft it up to 15.5 and make it almost into a 4-wood. It’s just something I got to try and keep a little tighter dispersion on the heavily treed holes were a driver is a little more risky. But seeing the distance that this monster is producing with 11.5° here could definitely go in the bag is a Driver replacement on tight courses and you can leave the driver at home. I don’t think I will use it off the fairway as I have other woods I would use for that purpose that would get the ball airborne a little easier. I would not change the shaft because the colouration of the shaft in the grip adds to the nostalgia as intended from the factory. You had a bunch of weird coloured shafts and grips on this and it’s kind of like buying a new mustang and leaving one wheel original and putting three other multicoloured wheels on it it just looks kind of weird. So as is I think it’s the perfect toy for any boy that wants a man’s trinket and doesn’t mind spending some cash. I think it’s going to be a smash hit and they will sell out… And the head cover, that is a piece of art. Thank you Taylor made!

  5. I got the 13.5, lofted down to 11.5, put a tensei white driver shaft in playing at 44.5. It's a weapon off the tee, same distance as my Sim2 driver, but way more consistent, and, weirdly I find it easier to hit off the ground than my Ping 3 wood. Off the tee, it's very sensitive to tee height, and I settled on the white castle tees for all out drives, and red if I want a low cut.

  6. Always want consistency, and that's why a driver doesn't sit in my bag. If this gives fairway wood consistency then I'd be sold on it. Would love to see comparison to older mini drivers , because I have a TP Aeroburner Mini and think for my swing now it's harder to hit. Manufacturers are always telling us that it's now down to making them better dispersion.

Would love to see the comparison, or even to do the comparison 😉

  7. Considering getting this as a beginner (playing for about 10 months). Would I regular or stiff shaft be better?
