  1. DP can't get enough of LeBron. Or as Jim Rome calls him, LeGM and LeFib.

  2. I think the guy's got it wrong on why "half the country doesn't embrace Lebron"… It's not about his politics campaigning for Obama or Hillary or his unwillingness to speak out about human or worker's rights in Asia; it's about his throwing baby powder in the air, his self-aggrandizing self-referential talk and manner, his slight whininess on the court for such a big body, and an overall slight phoniness (despite seeming like an overall decent human being.)

  3. Brady wasnt immediately dominate, those early brady years he was a game manager. This dude has his facts twisted

  4. This is, by far, one of the most in depth descriptions of Lebron's early life that I ever heard. I personally believe that Lebron is The GOAT. I've been arguing with my sports buddies on this topic for years. I believe that Lebron James is The GOAT because of, not only the accomplishments but the "whole" story. I'm old enough to have watched MJ in college and professional. As a Lifelong Detroit " Bad Boys"Pistons fan I know MJ. As Mr Benedict has so eloquently stated, a I fully agree, it's the whole story that makes Lebron James The GOAT. Not only in basketball.

  5. What complete nonsense: LeBron's political moves were "bold"? Really? Does the author really believe this? What would be bold would be if LeBron would utter one word criticizing China which he has never done. Instead he just dribbles out conventional woke nonsense that passes for wisdom among sports writers today about race and America. So on politics he's a sanctimonious know-it-all and not bold at all.

It fact it really sounds to me after listening to this author like the reason LeBron embraced his domestic left wing politics was to respond to the criticism of his "politics and sports don't mix" position at the Beijing Olypmics. So instead of pointing that out and noting that he's taking two completely contradictory positions depending on what type of politics we are talking about his guy just falls for the whole thing and calls him bold. You can't get anymore clueless than that. This plus the reason noted below about some of LeBron's on court behavior is why half the country doesn't embrace him.

Now, to be fair to LeBron, it would be really easy to engage in a lot worse behavior than he does with all the people kissing his butt every day for at least 30 of his 38 years and the billions of dollars he has. But when his biographer thinks he's "bold" politically, one has to wonder how accurate the rest of his assessments are.

  6. Lebron's Miami decision was a blunder, but he was young and able to rehabilitate his image.

His current day political stances around China and BLM are unbelievably harmful and regressive. This has been his biggest downfall. He is an uneducated basketball player who didn't go to college and has an ENORMOUS platform. This makes for a disastrous combination.

As someone who is a Cleveland sports fan, I can't enjoy the title he brought to town because of his horrendous, harmful, liberal status quo, nonsense political views.
