I remember watching racing as a kid where the coverage was about the drivers' skill, technology and engineering etc. Now it's all about how deep can we get into people's lives, who's the newest teen idol etc. Side effect of trying to sell a sport to a wider and wider audience. You get more money flowing in but what you get in return is diluted.
Today is Sunday March 19th, and Mothers Day. I hope all celebrating today are having a lovely day. Over the day you may have spared a thought for those without their mum, or those mothers sadly bereaved of a child. But did you think of someone like me who is unable to have any children?
