I watch at least a little bit of every single game (sometimes I’m working late and catch as much as I can) and I swear on my life I had no idea we had a RP named Nick Ramirez on the team. I had to actually go check the roster right now for proof.
Never seen any other ball club go to the bullpen EXCLUSIVELY with 2 outs. The only excuse I’d buy is that they need the extra commercial breaks… other than that, makes zero sense.
I had to look up Hicks’ OPS+ because I couldn’t believe it… and it’s actually 3!
Top of 9th the pitcher on the mound is rolling. Let’s switch pitchers with 2 outs have them sit on the bench and come back out there. Or blow the game and can’t get an out. It does not make sense at all. It’s got to be an analytic decision.

Honestly Hamilton was awesome in relief last night he is a dude and I think he deserves higher leverage situations. But being the first guy you go to when the starter is in trouble is a very valuable role. Regardless when he pitches he needs to pitch more often he is a stud and he is ripped 💪🏼

Maybe I’m wrong but I think pulling german was an ok move. Obviously a bad result but he might’ve been gassed and Indians were threatening, why not throw in a fresh arm and close the game out? Great podcast, love the product you guys put out and it’s one of the most quality + unique in sports media, but I think you guys would be well served to be a bit more analytical with your Yankees takes. Love the fact that your fans but seems like the takes are a bit too set in stone if that makes sense. Take this for what it is, don’t work in media.
