DRAFT GRADES
DAYS 1 & 2
“S” –Certified Steal
• Need, team/scheme fit check out and the value is better than expected
“A”
• Value, need, and team/scheme fit all check out
“B”
• Good pick, but one of the following apply:
o Player was a slight reach
o Positional value in question (1st Round Only)
o Team passed on a better player at the position for the team
o Team ignored value at a major need (1st Round Only)
o Team/Scheme fit is in question
OR
• An otherwise “C” graded pick due to value and/or better players being available, but a massive hole at a value position (QB, OT, WR, ED, DT, CB) was addressed in Round 1 with a still good player that wouldn’t have been available for the team later.
“C”
• Fine pick but two of the following apply:
o Player was a slight reach
o Positional value in question (1st Round Only)
o Team passed on a better player at the position for the team
o Team ignored value at a major need with (1st Round Only)
o Team/Scheme fit is in question
“D”
• Pick is in question as three of the following apply
o Player was a slight reach
o Positional value in question (1st Round Only)
o Team passed on a better player at the position for the team
o Team ignored value at a major need with (1st Round Only)
o Team/Scheme fit is in question
• OR
o Player was a major reach
“F”
• A truly inexplicable pick as player was a major reach, AND team passed on a better player at the position for the team, team/scheme fit is in question, or team ignored value at a major need or positional value is in question (1st Round Only)
DAY 3
Certified Steal (Purple)
• Team stole a player who had a Day 1 or 2 grade who has a legit shot to be an impact player
Great Pick (Green)
• Team found above average value and a player with a legit chance to start within the first couple of seasons with the team OR a great role player in a key spot right away (Goal line back, #3 D-Lineman, TE2, dime back, kick returner, etc.)
Good Pick (Blue)
• Value lines up but player is in a great scheme or opportunity to find success as a starter or key role player relative to most Day 3 picks
Solid Pick (White)
• No notable criticisms of the pick but expectations should be tampered as with any Day 3 Pick
Reach / Will Regret Not Taking… / Not a fan (Orange)
• (Round 4 & 5 only) Player was a notable reach and/or notably better players would have been better picks, but the player still had a draftable grade
• (Round 6 & 7) Player was evaluated and did not have a draftable grade
Massive Reach (Red)
• (Round 4 & 5 only) Team took a player who did not have a draftable grade OR reached multiple rounds while passing on several better options for the position

I get your Texans take but I don't think anyone in the building believes we'll be picking top 5. Also we kept the browns pick and they play the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals twice a year. Compared to the Texans playing the jags, colts, and titans, I don't think there's going to be too much of a difference between the picks.
This says NFC West, but it's AFC South
NFC West?????
😢chiefs bottom 2 is bad jets & sf way worse even though I admit w the falling players I would have gone branch into tackle then edge or wr moving up to do but I would have moved for flowers as he fell
Ah yes the NFC West; my favorite division with the Colts and Titans 😂
I felt the same for my Texans at first honestly, but caserio was able to guarantee we spent the extra we had and not the savings in the future. We got all our draft picks next year in each round. Also to be fair will Anderson could be a top tier pass rusher, that’s priceless to have on a team.
Dang NFC West 2 videos in a row
I hope you put down other teams for giving up picks for a potential franchise QB like you do the Texans. Ik this is beating a dead horse but 49ers gave up way more for Lance.. Love your high quality content but I just don't agree with the Houston hate. TBD I suppose lol
If Anthony Richardson is so damned good, then why did he play so damned shitty at Florida?
Lamar Jackson and Cameron Newton each had good collegiate careers.
Potential. That is a risky word.
I totally disagree with your take on the Texans’ draft. Will Levis fell completely out of the first round, for a reason.
Ballard chose a good year to put his money where his mouth is in drafting a young QB. And in typical Ballard fashion he also chose athletes in days 2-3. Though in short term I also think that Colts WR group will change drastically. I liked the Texans draft and even though the process was questionable for the future, they just needed better players now in those key spots. Titans draft was also very sound and in line with how they want to rebuild in the trenches and get another quality RB. Jags day 1-2 were ho hum but I think they got most of their guys in place and are just looking for the key pieces to settle in. Will be a chaotic and fun division to spectate next season.
It's so wild to me how we've had Josh Allen who is literally a QB built in a lab to be an absolute freak, and he only gets to be the freakiest QB in the league for like 5 years lmao
I heard Stroud specifically requested Tank Dell once he was drafted by the Texans so that may have had an impact too
As a Titans fan, I was hoping for a WR from the second round on, and really scratched my head at Tyjae Spears in the third, but I hope that we got some good players here.
Not even a colts fan, but throughout the draft process, Josh Downs just seemed like the perfect fit next to Pittman and Pierce, what a steal.
Bro rlly said theres not much of a gap between stroud and levis LOLOL
I love you bro but I don’t feel you on 1 thing and that’s Stroud being a franchise quarterback ( not just because I’m a Ohio State fan either ) but I truly believe yes maybe 1st year he may not have it but I believe he will definitely mold into that
Can't agree more about the Texans. That haul of picks they got for Watson was supposed to be the foundation of their rebuild, and they just gave away those assets. Now they are still going to be in rebuild mode and won't have the extra assets and flexibility to keep that rebuild going.
For the Titans, it was super risky for them to pass on Levis if they actually wanted a QB. But it worked out for them. While it might hurt Tannehill's feelings (to say nothing of Malik Willis) he's finishing up a 4 year $118m contract that he never deserved and he's made $168m in his career so nobody's going to cry for him.
CJ Stroud is better then bryce young
Colts laughed at the Texans all draft long man
I feel skoronski does have a higher floor as we saw with Thomas he was really bad his first year
As a Texans fan, I know we overpaid for Anderson, but I'm still really excited for the first time in YEARS. The entire organization needed a shot of energy and Caserio and Ryans delivered. The 2024 draft will sort itself out in time. (And who knows? This time last year we thought the Seahawks and Broncos would be picking inversely of where they ended up)
Killing me how he gave the saints some Fs and Ds and end up with a C+ final grade but the Texans get some As and Bs and get a solid C final grade.
