  1. glad we didnt lose him, I was worried right up to the end of the deadline. Looks like we have him for long term now.

  2. I mean I’m glad we didn’t lose him in the same way I don’t want anybody to leave generally but to say I was “holding my breath” is dumb lmao. We still have collins.

  3. Garrett comes from a family of professionals he will get enough valuable playing time to put up big numbers he will be a top 10 pick when he leaves

  4. LSU should be a top 8 team for the next 3 years now unless Nuss has a Burrow type year next season.

  5. Garret knows JD5 won't be the starter the entire season. He's just waiting for his chance to step up and kick some ass!

    GEAUX TIGERS 🐅

  6. Garrett knows he can’t go anywhere else and find the talent at wide receiver that LSU has. Doesn’t matter how good the quarterback is if he has no one to throw it too that is high caliber

  7. I was definitely worried. You know he had a few back door offers and people whispering in his ear. Grateful he is staying.

  8. I’m very surprised he stayed. Pleasantly surprised. But none the less

  9. The Nuss Bus will be full force next year as LSU should be ready for a run at a Natty with Nuss. Stay here and shine Nuss. He’ll be one and done first round pick!

  10. Is that really why Howard left was because he saw that nuss was getting reps to prepare to possibly be the starter next season considering JD5 had a good shot at going into the draft. Nuss was the more senior experience college QB over Howard but if Howard wanted to start he would’ve got the chance to show in Spring that he was better than Nuss already and more ready to be the starter. While I could see the argument I don’t think nuss is a slouch or much less talented than Howard at the time but that’s crazy if he left for that reason as he could’ve taken over mid season or after 1 season if jd5 left and then you had nuss start before Howard took over unless he waited for jd5 to return and then left thinking he didn’t want to wait 2 possibly season before getting a chance to start but still he could’ve taken over as 2nd string this season while JD5 started and then nuss would’ve had to transfered if you got named the next starter for next season. Walker we don’t want your sorry ass if you scared to compete with nuss and or wait your turn to be developed and let the program use there best talent to get to a championship no matter what! Good luck sucking it up in ole piss and never getting even close to a championship. It’s much smarter to wait and develop for 3 year in college and just balling out your senior year and getting a high draft grade and go in after just one starting year as you won’t be injured and fresh as possible compared to beat up QBs starting for years in college.

  11. Thank Joey Burrow for creating an elite standard for QB play at LSU. And the transfer portal lol, but for real people have higher expectations with QB play at LSU ever since ole Joe was tossin the ball around

  12. The entire CFB world has no clue what this means for the rest😂 that dude is gonna joe burrow tf out of them next season. If he perfects his play extending….Joe burrow all over again. Especially with these receivers. Imagine if malik stayed another year with him😳

  13. Garrett staying is the future of the LSU team. He’s gone be the closest thing to Joe Burrow for the next several years to come. He has the potential to be great and do great things. Greatness comes with maturity and experience. I seen just the other day that Tom Brady was the 199th pick of the 6th round NFL draft in 2000. Went on to be a 7 time Superbowl champion. If Garrett stays where he is at. Learns the system better and better every day. And waits for his time, then putting together everything he’s trained for and learned. He will be great !!!!!

  14. Its crazy to think that Alabama has 2 4 star QBs that's fine being the 5th string guy. We couldn't keep walker at 3rd

  15. I wish that Manning kid would have came to LSU and there was two other guys we definitely would have been great for at least another four years

  16. Nuss passed up a golden opportunity to become an instant millionaire. As he stayed at LSU not because he loves Brian Kelly but instead because he loves LSU. Had he elected to transfer, and he was under a ton of pressure to transfer, he would have become an instant starter for every other head coach in the country not named Brian Kelly and at the same time, an instant millionaire.

Brian Kelly better give him significant playing time this season because had he transferred, it would have been the second elite QB run off this team in only one off season by Brian Kelly's piss poor management of the QB room and that is unprecedented in college football. Hence, the monkey is now off of Kelly 's back. Now we are going to find out how appreciated Brian Kelly is.

I agree with Moscona, had Nuss not played in the UGA game last year, he would have transferred a long time ago. As bad as JD5 was stinking it up last year, Brian Kelly intentionally kept Nuss on the bench as much as he possibly could to avoid controversy. However, after the UGA game, there were no more excuses.
