Lee Livesay “Man, It Feels Different This Year” on MERCER-96



Over the last 3 years Lee Livesay is truly one of the hottest anglers on the planet. In that short time he has won 4 Bassmaster tournaments, collected 2 Bassmaster Century Belts & weighed in the 3rd biggest limit in Bassmaster History. He has qualified for 3 Bassmaster Classics & not only did he win on his home lake (Lake Fork) but he did it back-to-back. Along the way he has assembled one of the coolest sponsor line ups in professional fishing. Not only is he sponsored by Busch Beer but also the hit southern rock/country band Whiskey Myers. Livesay represents the same red dirt roots that they sing about as he continues his fast train to the top of the fishing game.

But this year things feel a little different & Lee joins the podcast to talk about all that and so, so much more.

    Ballistic boats… what a whore 😅 there’s obviously two sides to every single story, but if It really shook down like that then I hope they’re never on the forefront. Only a very small selective group knew of that manufacturer prior to them being ran on the elites. Wow. Just wow. Phoenix has definitely gained a lot of control of the boat market.

    My best David Fritz story. The year Fritz won the classic. My self and some buddy’s were going to Saskatchewan deer hunting. Sitting on the plane had my camo Ranger hat and David walks on to the plane. I nudge my buddy and said that guy right there. He just won the bass master classic. As it turned out. David and I were the last two in the customs line to get our guns. And I told him ,I had told my buddy’s who he was ,and that they wanted me to talk too him. Lol.😂. He’s says are you a Ranger man. I said yea I have a 1988 364 v. He was like when you get ready to up grade. Give me a call I just opened a Ranger dealership in Lexington NC. Lol. He’s like give me that hat. He proceeded to sign the bill of my cap. So my buddy’s could see it. I still have the 364. Great show Dave. Lee has got that swagger. Cool guy. Keep it up. Want be long until Jake’s takes.

    I shook my magic eight ball and it said Ballistic Boats is either about to tank or getting bought out by WRMG…. Either way super dirty way to treat your team members!! Definitely going to support Chase, thanks Dave for sharing that, I’ll definitely send you pics of the giants I smash on Chaser baits!!! Btw good attitude on Lees part, spot on! I’m finishing my eighth long deployment and have missed almost 10 years out of the last twenty being home and it’s like a honeymoon every time I get home and we don’t take each other for granted and you learn that time home is precious!

    My favorite is mike iaconelli hes a jersey boy like me and he can fish. Definitely gets a little excited over a 1lb fish lol but thats ike. My 2nd is G-man hes just a great dude all around. All these guts are special so i wish them all the best season

    Randy block it definitely needs to step his game up. If he did amazing in most tournaments I think he could really change the game Big Time with how we voices everything

    This is crazy, tonight I was listening to this episode on my drive back to NW FLORIDA after fishing the Hobie BOS tourney at Harris Chain and Livesay passed me on I-10, literally while listening to him! Caleb Sumrall was behind him too.
