If you hit a ball in a previous divot and it’s filled with sand, that’s ground under repair but you have to play it without a free drop. One of the stupidest rules in golf.
It’s called lift clean and place jack ass. If you hit the ball in your own fairway then you are able to pick them all up clean it and place it back in the fairway roughly 1 club length from where it stopped as long as it is no closer to the hole. Also you’re not on the pro tour so gives a shit
How about figuring out and practicing how to hit it out of divot. Golf is a humbling game.Not dumb rule play it as it lies. Doesn’t matter where you hit it or how far….. I know it’s not a fare lie but it’s the game . ..and how often does it happen?
