The EASIEST way to swing on a single plane

There are many ways to attempt swinging a golf club on a single plane. Here in this video I show you what I consider to be the easiest way based on over 25 years of teaching the concept. My Setup 4 Impact® golf method makes it easier to hit any golf shot. Simply setting up on your impact plane and then swinging on one single plane makes the game easier. I customize the simple concept to fit each individual golfer regardless of age, flexibility, and natural ability. I will help you improve faster than any other way. I have worked over 35 years in developing this simple golf swing method which can help anybody play better golf quickly. Many do better their next time out. Because it is easier to repeat it is also easier on the body. Putting less stress on the back, hips, and knees.

ABOUT KIRK JUNGE
———————–
Kirk Junge began playing golf at the age of 5. After a successful Junior Golf career, Kirk turned professional in 1986. He has played on the Dakotas Tour, the Teardrop Tour, the South Florida PGA and the SouthWest Ohio PGA where he captured one victory.

More recently Kirk played tournament golf again for the first time in almost 20 years in 2021 where he finished second in the Senior division in the United States Golf Teachers Cup in Las Vegas, NV. There were Golf teaching professionals from around the USA playing in this competition which took place in 30 to 40 MPH winds. Kirk competed again in 2022 and again finished second with rounds of 69, and 73.

In the year 1996, Kirk began to teach the golf swing of Moe Norman, and shortly thereafter taught with the Natural Golf Corporation, where he stayed until 2005. During that time he was one of the top instructors and was responsible for answering over 3000 golf technique questions on the Natural Golf forum. He was a licensed instructor with the Graves Golf Academy from 2014 to 2016. Kirk also holds several other certifications with the United States Golf Teachers Federation, the World Golf Teachers Federation, and is a former PGA of Europe member.

After leaving Natural Golf, Kirk headed to Pforzheim, Germany where he ran his own Golf Academy until 2014.

In 2005, Kirk set his sights on creating a simpler golf swing, which led to the creation of Setup 4 Impact Golf. Using his 20+ years of golf instruction experience and his knowledge of the many different golf methods. Kirk has distilled golf knowledge from some of the best golf instructors in the world to create the Setup 4 Impact golf swing. His instructors included the likes of Wild Bill Melhorn, Jimmy Ballard, Terry Crouch, Artie McNickle, Chuck Hogan and Dave Pelz, and many more.

Kirk’s main goal is to help golfers improve their game as quickly as possible.

The Setup 4 Impact golf method can be fully customized to fit your own personal needs without the need for special golf clubs.

Kirk has taught golf for 35 years now. He has taught various golf methods including for Natural Golf Corporation, Single Axis golf, and the Graves Golf Academy. Kirk invented the Minimalist golf swing method which had you setup and swing on a single plane, which has evolved into his currently taught Setup 4 Impact swing which is the Ultimate golf swing because it is built to fit every golfer regardless of shape, size, age, or ability. The Setup4Impact golf swing very closely resembles the swing of Bryson DeChambeau who also sets up on his impact plane. Kirk’s number one goal is to help you improve at golf.

Kirk Junge currently teaches his “Setup 4 Impact” swing full-time in West Palm Beach, Florida year round, as well as Cincinnati, Ohio, Reading, PA, and Sanford, NC a couple times per year. Other locations coming soon including California. More info at https://setup4impact.com/kirk-junge/

  1. Love it, makes a lot of sense, I've tried it and it really works ! Many thanks. , I like your instruction a lot ! Barry .😊

  2. Moe stated he took 12 years at 5-800 balls per day to develop his swing he also stated to never teach his method to anyone ever he did NOT recommend his swing to anyone! He was an autistic man who literally used his madness to hone his swing DO NOT ATTEMPT!!!

  3. Thank you Kirk. I've been struggling the last couple days with the shanks, I'm a dedicated student of yours and whenever I start to sense that my swing is becoming "foggy" (muscle memory becomes confused) I go back to using your fundamental S4I technique. I've made some modifications to suit my play style, adding a bit more wrist cock at the top and propelling myself through the ball with my right leg, but whenever those things start to go haywire I just return to the stock S4I swing and then rebuild.

Your technique is fantastic and cuts out all, and I mean all, of the confusing poppycock out there about the golf swing. You have made my life better, because golf means a lot to me and playing well gives me a lot of joy.

  4. Kirk your single plain swing seems very similar to Stack and tilt method. Both start swing at impact. And swing on one plane.

  5. As the "American Pie" song goes: "Along, long time ago…" I learned from Bruce Lee's philosophy:

1: "I don't believe in systems, or methods. Now, without systems or methods, what to teach? I've found the core of my ignorance."
2: "The inner self is the true self. In order to realize our true self we must be willing to live without being dependent upon the opinions of others."

Which it took me to embrace the core of Lee's way and apply it to myself in other disciplines:

    "Research your own experience.
    Absorb what is useful.
    Reject what is useless.
Add what is specifically your own."

In his own words: "The art of Jeet Kune Do is simply to simplify."

He also emphasized a ton of practice: "I don't fear the man who has practiced a thousand different kicks, but I fear the one who has practiced a kick a thousand times."

I take Moe as the Bruce Lee of ball striking when he says: "It's hard work. Money can't buy it!" And he also said: "Keep it simple. Don't make it harder than it is."

I believe they're two awesome examples about the approach to learning, developing and getting decently good at anything starting with the basic knowledge of ourselves and in this case, an easy approach to golf. Kirk has taken it as well as I did. And I'm not Moe nor Kirk of course, but I've developed my swing on the same patterns and I'm happy with my game, which is not super-good, but decent enough to have fun staying out of the beach and woods most of the time.

    Hit it good out there!

  6. Enjoy your videos and theories; not sure u r being fair to graves; I have nothing to do w graves or their teaching however; most important believe u r wrong about most statements ie they really don’t promote keeping foot on ground flat; todd and moe both rolled trail foot in and even todd has said if u can’t keep it down it is ok. All he teaches is rotate rotate rotate like most I either didn’t rotate at all or rotate to much. Bottom line I LOVE having a model; I believe ur way u r just back chasing ghosts ; methods or tip of the day trying a bandaid approach cause u don’t wish to put time in. I may never fully get it but I do love having a model vs the alternative.
