I had mono in high school. It really rocks your body. However my warning to you is make sure you keep on top of cancer screenings because mono can be a precursor to Hodgkin's lymphoma. I ended up having that approx 7 years later. I had signs for a 6-8 months before I really took my symptoms seriously and went to a doctor, but with prior knowledge I would have acted faster and maybe caught it earlier.
I'm confused how you are playing in an amateur event when you are selling merchandise based on your image in golf. I know you are miles away from being a top tour player, but I think you're still a pro.
For example Ely Callaway couldn't break 90 and was considered a pro.
