These two LIV Golfers have earnt their invite To PGA Championship but is this a load of rubbish! Do world rankings even mean anything in golf anymore?! The PGA tour championship has been finalised but there is some HUGE surprises at these liv golfers making the list! There has been a lot of talk about the pga championship, liv golfers, liv golf tour, pga tour, dp world championship and which golf tour plays will play which tournament.
This PGA championship is the men’s second Major of the year, it has been revealed that Gooch has secured the PGA Championship, which takes place a month prior, with Gooch not the only player from the LIV Golf League to actually secure an invitation!!
GOLF FANS SHOCKED AS 2 LIV Golfers Earn Invite To PGA Championship!
Anirban Lahiri has also secured a spot in the field at the PGA Championship. Speaking at LIV Golf Singapore, Lahiri stated that: “Regarding the PGA Championship, I am delighted they decided to give me a spot. This validates my very tough decision to go to the International Series Vietnam when all that was going on back home.”
He went on to add: “I am thankful to the PGA of America that their decision was not swayed by other things going on in the world of golf. This is going to be special for me. My last Major was the PGA Championship last year. There can’t be a bigger reward in golf than playing in Majors.”
Despite the fact that LIV is still without Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points, Lahiri managed a runner-up finish in the recent International Series event in Vietnam. The top 100 in the world rankings will qualify for the PGA Championship and, because he had managed to vault back to 95th in the world with that performance, he claimed an invite… this is ridiculous!!
Gooch became the first player to win back-to-back LIV Golf events after success in Adelaide and Singapore, he also secured an invite due to his standing in the OWGR, which is currently World No.60

Current driver cobra speed zone. Liv golf have some serious top golfers who add to majors if you remove them maybe the majors loose something

Who determines if the LIV golfiers get world ranking points or not? Definitely should be able to play in the majors after how well they did in the Masters.
I think they should be allowed to play if they make the criteria. Tbh I think it’ll get to the point where the major will offer a way for LIV players getting in. Oh and I play a 10.5 original callaway rogue driver from 2018

I’m one who believe that WR points should include LIV. I k ow that a big challenge due to the difference in format, but you can’t say, you are the best in the world…. If you don’t count so and so…. My current driver is an M3. With a regular flex shat. I’ve been trying to increase my swing speed and think a stiff flex shaft might be more appropriate now for me. I’d love to show off that fancy Black and Gold one though 😊

I actually use a cobra king F1 but not often enough. LIV vs PGA. I understand the issues between the two but I feel the majors who are not part of the PGA should not have a say who they invite. The Masters were prime example and worked well. LIV players are as good as the top PGA and proved it before they left in most instances. Not getting points is a huge debate in its self but I believe they should be assigned as any other tour. My fiends and I avoid this debate. Maybe if PGA put their weekly games in full YouTube, I would watch them too.

Wow what a cool giveaway my Taylormade M2 could move down the family chain. As far as the golf goes it seems more about power and ego than the good of the game but then what more can you expect from the wealthy

Define world ranking points? How are the points determined and by who? What publication or rules are available for your viewer's to find this information? Does four rounds play weigh more than winning or money earn? If you can share some insight it will be helpful. I have the cobra LTDX DRIVER. Absolutely love it! Always room for a newer driver!
I'm old enough to realize that people should do what's allowed , not preferred. I mean Phil has won the masters on numerous occasions. He should be allowed to play their until he's decides. And if any other LIV golfers have status to the majors they've already won and have an exemption for a given amount of time then so be it. Hopefully in a few years the animosity will have faded and it'll just be what's next.

I watched the entire LIV event in Singapore and while the timezones messed me up, i was able to watch 3 action packed rounds and it only took 4 hrs to do. I didn't have to switch between different tv channels or put aside 12+ hrs to watch the golf. I was thoroughly entertained all weekend by it. My second choice was LPGA/Champions tour. I just find the enjoyment of the LIV was quite high compared to the PGA tour this weekend.
As for the driver I am currently in testing but using a Sim2 Max in 9° with a Regular shaft.

No world ranking points , no invite. Plain and simple. You have to earn the right to play. I play the Taylormade M6 and I could use a change.
Here's the thing you and everone else forgets, what you say or think, including everyone on here or the world has no say in anything. Just watch who and what tour you want and move on, stuff like this is just stupid drama. And yes if you can play and your invited play away…
Talk about clickbait !!! . There will be many more than two Liv players . This wasn't any kind of 'invitation' , it's simply players being eligible a but what's with the number two anyways ? There will be like 10 + players in the pga championship . A bunch are still in the top 100 and than there's the exemption for the likes of cam and Phil who won majors recently .
I think it's great that the LIV players can get to play in the major tournaments. I think there should be tournaments where the two leagues should play against each other. IMO it brings more excitement to the game. My driver is a Callaway Epic Speed!

Anybody who cares about OWGR rankings or points at this stage is fooling themselves and clearly showing their bias. And the DPWT players are also going to be irrelevant in the those rankings over time, so this is not just an issue for LIV, the way they are setup, only way you are going to make the top 50 of the corrupt rankings is only via the PGAT tour, and it's main feeder the Korn Ferry tour. The DPWT which is a minor feeder tour to both of those tours will only ever be nothing but a feeder tour going forward with less and less rankings points. Anyone with a brain could see this a mile off when they made the changes to OWGR.
Majors should have the best fields in golf. It doesn’t matter where the golfers normally play.

Jon Rahm said in a press conference 5 months ago and I quote "the OWGR is laughable" and he goes on to explain the reasons why and Rahm makes perfect sense, but of course potato brain PGA poster boy Rory (can't make the cut at The Masters) McIlroy supports the OWGR. OWGR is definitely a joke and LIV deserves points as proven by LIV golfers results at the Masters. Mickelson, Koepka and Reed beat ALL PGA TOUR Players at The Masters except for Jon Rahm.
It's called " The Golden Rule". So, whoever has the gold, makes the rules.
Obviously the world's best should compete in majors. That's what we look for.
I would put my money on Koepka, Cam Smith or Taylor Gooch and maybe even Patrick Reed to win the PGA, guaranteed there will be at least 3 LIV golfers in the top 10
