  1. What a player, great example of Liverpool's legacy.
A sustainable plan for a club would be to bring the academy coaches into the first team alongside the players that graduate.
No more hiring super managers, but an escalator system instead.
    For example,
Klopp would be replaced by Alex inglethorpe as his youth team emerge into the first team.

  2. I don´t know if its appropriate for a madridista to interject here but Macca is still loved and admired in the Bernabeu. He broke the curse on english players at Real.

  3. Legend. My footballing hero when i first started watching Liverpool properly. The guy was a wizard, and his linkup with Fowler was up there with the best partnerships.

  4. No one that was born from 1994/5 onwards would understand how different class this guy was in the 90s early Ryan giggs was the only other….he was immense. Its no mistake he ended up in one of the most legendary european teams of the last 25 years and won 2 champion leagues.

  5. I am happy he spoke up. I was one of those fans who felt betrayed when he left on free transfer. Continue to support him.

  6. So glad this has come a long never knew the back ground in when he left what a player as Zidane described him as one the best

  7. Remember my brother playing for villa reserves against Liverpool at anfield and coming home and saying he had played against a superstar , it was macca

  8. I get a lot of stick for being a Liverpool fan from Essex but I'm 34 now and I fell in love with Liverpool because of how they played with guys like Macca and Robbie in the team back when I was a kid

  9. Well done Steve I met you in Hale Barns Cheshire about 10 years inside a DIY store and said happy you went to Madrid You smiled
Liverpool and Everton pray on the local kids It is a business and Steve did well Keegan was the same There is a life outside Liverpool and a better lifestyle Well done Steve

  10. I love Steve McMananman. His name was the first ever players name I got on the back of a shirt, the original Ecru Reebok away shirt. Highly under rated as a player at Liverpool by the fans & I can't understand why. Steve McMananan you are a legend in my eyes YNWA

  11. Honestly McManaman – I am a life long Red seen it all since 1967 Shankly Era and there will be plenty out there that will disagree with me yeh, goes without saying? You CHEATED Roy Evans, you Conned the Club you held out signing a Contract having assured Roy Evans and the Management. You made Roy look like a Monkey and he never ever deserved being treated like that. Utter Disloyalty and Selfishness, Greed not Valid Ambition. Glory Hunting!! So much for your Liver Badge eh? You worked your Free Ticket and Madrid paid you the money they saved on the Transfer Fee for 60k a week. We all know it. You Conned LFC! Well done for that. Then you cleared off to the Bank to cream more money. Having said that The Reds didn't want you back there. You got a neck wider than the Mersey and the open goals down the years you missed were farcical at times, yeh some great ones the away goal at Celtic Park the goal at Arsenal past Seaman tight angle on the line hard to forget. But your a Con Artist get it right!! You are never a Fully Fledged Liverpool Legend like Robbie who you are all Pally with. You just played for us and was quick to leave than help the Club that made you! Simple as!!

  12. Loved watching these pair play, being born in 84 They definitely had an influence on me becoming a football fan even as a villa fan

  13. …played against Macca with school…other big players in our school year were Joey Murray & Vinnie Meskell,..
