The plan is to rebuild the roster, accumulate draft picks for 2026 and have a loaded team ready for Arch Manning and his rookie contract.
They are paying a lot of guys including Cousins, I doubt they will win the division if Goff plays as well as he did and that is the Vikings pattern. They might be gambling Hendon Hooker falls, they should eventually up with a starter level guy if they keep doing the lower round approach at QB. Right now, they are spending a lot of money on offense and I suspect they will be OK, top third of the NFC, Cousins might be on some top 10 QB list but he is getting old and diminish him much with age he becomes an expensive Tannahill.
This guy kills me….Kirk needs to play a little better????!!!!! What more does he need to do as he was one of , if not the most hit…sacked QB'S in the NFL last year! Durable….accurate….. smart….experienced…. going through how many OC's….in 5 years??!! Cousins hasn’t shown he can win in the playoffs and he’s around 35. Tic Toc. Even though Cousins has a strong arm — he was clocked at 59 MPH at his combine I believe — he doesn’t have a very quick release, and he’s not very mobile, which causes him to get strip-sacked, especially at key moments in games. I think the Vikings need a more dynamic QB with better wheels and a quicker release to throw to Jefferson and get them over the hump. (To be fair I haven’t seen a number on Cousins’ release. My eyes are telling me 0.4+ on average throws. If that’s a close number then I think I’m right. But in your mind compare Cousins’ release to, say, Tua’s or Garrropolo’s. Those guys are really quick at right around 0.3. And it helps them avoid sacks and it also makes it more difficult for DBs to jump routes. Now Jimmy throws picks but it’s because of stupid throws, e.g. not seeing linebackers drop back in coverage, or trying to throw an out under heavy pressure off his back foot. That’ll get you in trouble too.)
It’s funny. I watched “Clerks 3” (C3) maybe six months or so ago. That Snoochie Boochie guy kills me. Anyways, later I watched Jefferson do a touchdown dance and I told my wife, “Hey, he does the Snoochie Boochie dance!” Jefferson is pretty impressive I will say.

Looks like O Connell is trying to make "The Greatest Show On Turf, Part ll". Bringing in Addison to the Viking offense that has Justin Jefferson, KJ Osborn, TJ Hockenson. But also has the two Jalens. Nailor and Reagor. Knowing O Connell, he will have all of those players in the mix of offense.
