  1. I usually don't bring my clubs on a trip, unless it's a roadtrip. So worried about them getting lost by the airline or damaged. Just call ahead and see if the course has lefty rentals. If I ever make it to Sawgrass, Pebble Beach or St. Andrews, I'll grab a travel bag for my clubs.

  2. You talked about Zero Torque, Low Torque, No Torque and you forgot the most famous Torque of all – Peter Tork!

  3. LIV sold 90,000 tickets to this event and it was sold out weeks in advance. They got requests for more but couldn’t sell them.

Imagine the $$ made off of merch at this event

  4. TV audiences in excess on 2mill in Aus. That's equivalent to 35mill in America by % . LIV broadcasts in 170 countries. Wake up n stop being so in denial that LIV ain't going away . More people even in america are watching than you would believe.

  5. There a course in ri that would double book tee times. The play would get sooooo slow on the back 9. So it's not always slow play…..

  6. Here's a test for you: go actually play a round of golf with some of those Top-Flites from Dick's (or Golf Galaxy, whoever's closer), or perhaps the Titleist Velocity or Truefeel, and let us know the pros and cons of your round with the balls. For each shot, play 2 balls — one driver shot with your preferred left-dash pro v1x and one driver shot with the cheapo $20/dozen ball. And continue doing so as you play the hole out (one score for each ball type). Give little details on the round, like perhaps how a ball didn't check up like you thought it should, or perhaps spun backwards too much, if you lost a ball or had to take it out of play because it was ruined from a cart path or somesuch, how much $ you had tied up in it, etc.

  7. LIV crowds are good when they are played at strategic venues.

  8. Typical US focused comments Tony. There is golf outside of the US you know. Bringing top level golf to the rest of the world has value if you are outside of the US. Oh and not top line players IN LIV??? Really, how many of the top 5 in the Masters played LIV? You do talk crap sometimes Tony

  9. I have a synthetic Callaway glove that I've used for 2 seasons, as my range glove & save the nicer gloves for the course
It has no holes, not gone stiff or brittle but discoloured the first day I used it so 🤷‍♂️😆

  10. Haha, you guys are a joke! Phil & Brookes beat EVERYONE except Rahmbo at the Masters. LIV Will continue to grow.

  11. Mickelson, Koepka and Reed beat EVERY PGA Tour player except Rahm, and you geniuses think there is no depth of talent on LIV. In 10 years or less , LIV will be the Premier Golf Tour on the planet. Going to golf starved markets like India and Asia that have over 1/3 of the world population is definitely growing the game and all sport is entertainment and LIV Golf has the best golfing entertainment on the planet , instead of the stale and snobby PGA Tour

  12. I find this a little inconsistent when talking about slow play. “Lining up 2ft putts that are meaningless.”
And other comments in videos like “lift clean and cheat, I mean place.”
The avg golfer will never be a tour player and who gives a shit if they are cheating according to usga standards as long as it’s not for money, and they are keeping the game moving. Let’s encourage faster play, and if it means that 25-30+ handicaps scramble on weekends, i think that’s fine

  13. At least one ionomer ball in the ball test would be my vote. (Other than the range ball)

  14. Australian crowds got behind LIV because for the first time in a VERY long time big names were playing golf together here.

The PGAs wrap around season is viewed as the biggest killer of tours outside the US.

The PGA could square away the battle for public support with LIV if they were to get behind some events outside of the US and encourage their Elite players to be involved…

I’m a realist and know that won’t happen but the PGA has one glaring chink in the armour and that is the possibility of LIV growing dominance in these other markets and then attacking the US market at a later point.

  15. Weird take on complaining about golf balls being too plain 🤣
But everyone is different so I can politely agree to disagree
For me, I want the plainest ball possible.

  16. golf bags are irrationally too expensive; travel golf bags are ridiculously overpriced. What does one get for $340? Skateboard wheels on duffel fabric.

  17. Objectively everything Tony stated about LIV can be refuted and shown otherwise. But good try buddy…..

  18. Wouldn't a ball test be more helpful if it came out at the start of the season instead of towards the end for the northern part of the country?

  19. I bought a Club Glider Journey about 10 years ago, best golf purchase I have ever made. It’s starting to wear a bit, but will buy another one when the time comes.

  20. Vail golf club went to 12 min tee times during covid, but they saw how well the course played and how much quicker it moved without backups that they stayed with the 12 min times after, or at least that is what they said when playing there last year.

  21. Liv is new! It come against opposition and negativity from all angles. It’s trying out new things! It’s here to stay.

  22. Alright, I’m gonna say it: I’m sick of the pga “tour”, and by “tour” I mean, playing the same old regime of courses, year in and year out. Move the damn tour around! There are so many brilliant golf courses in this country that we will never get to see. Yeah, I prefer four round golf, but at least LIV is giving us an opportunity to enjoy more and different courses (not only in America, but in a lot of countries) and the LIV coverage and is A LOT better than the boring pga coverage. Arlo White is a great great play by play man for golf AND we’re not locked into watching Tiger limp around or Cantlay spend five minutes lining up every damn putt like he did in Augusta. And speaking of “blips “, these “off week” pga events are awful. You damn right I’d rather watch Dustin Johnson, Talor Gooch, Cam Smith, Phil Mickelson, and even friggin Pat Perez and Ian Poulter than who ever the hell won the Zurich tournament or the John Deer or the Valspar or the Rocket Mortgage or any of these other off week pga tournaments. It’s like watching the old BC Open back in the day for guys that didn’t make the British Open. So yeah, on these “off weeks”, I don’t understand why guys are allowed to stay home but they’re not allowed to enter a LIV event. Sorry. BTW guys, I love your discussions and really enjoy the channel.

  23. I agree with Tony's take on playing time. If I'm moving, I don't worry about or even notice that it took 3:45 or 4:15. My best example of that is that there is one guy on my league who easily adds 15 to 20 minutes to our 9-hole round and it drives me crazy to follow him. But, when he's in my group, he's funny and interesting enough that I don't really notice the added time.

  24. To me, LIV is exhibition golf, not tournament golf. 54 hole, shotgun start, made-up "teams," blaring music, intentionally carnival atmosphere – it could be fun to attend, but it's utterly incoherent as television. Sorry. And that is what is going to ultimately kill it. Am I biased? Sure. I regard the Saudi prince as an evil relic and have come to think Greg Norman is an egotistical ass. So, yeah, I'm sort of rooting against the enterprise. If they really cared about the game and introducing a fresh vitality to it worldwide, they would have recruited senior PGA golfers and college grads to tour the world with this new, energized format, been a feeder into the PGA and DP tours. Instead, they threw billions at the best and most beloved players on the Tour, to try to lure them into LIV. It was a hostile takeover. Period. If you're all for that, fine. You don't like tournament golf.

  25. I think the "purist, PGA Tour is the only Tour" people should settle down a little bit. I understand the money which funds the LIV Tour is not the best, but don't think that the money which funds the PGA Tour is much different. The US is just as guilty of doing shady shit, the Golf Channel and all the major networks would jump in a second if PGA contracts were less lucrative than LIV. Have you notice most of the social media post of the tournament winners are all now telling how much money the players are making for the win? If the top 7 players in the PGA world left for LIV, TV contracts would leave PGA as well. The Masters showed the world, LIV golfers can play just as well as PGA players while playing less events, shotgun start, and 54 holes. I'm glad LIV has some TV coverage, if the App rumors are true, it will up their viewership. Standing by a (IMO) destructive PGA marketing campaign, jumping on the bandwagon of LIV sucks, it short sided thinking, as best.
