I honestly do not understand what the problem is
Some people have forgotten that the era of dickriding mediocre QBs (Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, Mitch Trubisky, Josh Rosen, Dwayne Haskins, Johnny Manziel, Zach Wilson etc) into the 1st round is over.
– Devin Hester was expected to go first round. NFL snubbed him, and he was drafted somewhere near the end of the 2nd round.
– Tom Brady thought he was going to get drafted within the first 1-3 rounds… NFL told him to sit down until he got drafted in the 6th round.
– Roger Staubach thought he might get drafted in 2nd or 3rd round. NFL teams said he too old (28 years old) and he just returned from Vietnam, so they drafted him in 10th round
– Matt Corral, Desmond Ridder and Malik Willis all got drafted in 2nd or 3rd round. its not the end of the world… unless someone thinks he entitled.

So. The guy is not that good a qb, isn't prime choice at 25 (he's older than Hurts !), gonna get passed for Hooker at the least, and will eventually get drafted late as a potentially strong backup behind an established starter (Raiders, Bucs, Saints, Rams…). It all makes sense. Why get emotional about it ? He's a show off, he's being put in his place by the big boys, it's all good, isn't it ?

It's only shocking because you guys in the media hype them up to be a top-five pick. NFL GM's learn from the Zach Wilson hype-train.
Talking heads prognosticating about the draft built this hype. This young man did nothing wrong except be humiliated by people who think they have some special knowledge that makes them think people want to hear what they say.
Watching guys fall might be the best part of the draft coverage 😅
