European golfers who moved to LIV Golf could now face huge fines of up to £1 million after the DP World Tour won a landmark ruling this month, but there is a huge twist and this is all to do with Greg Norman.

There has been so much debate and speculation around liv golf tour, liv golf players, greg norman, pga tour, pga tour players, dp world tour, dp world tour players! The biggest thing about this story is the magnitude of players this involves. 1. It's a joke.. Dp is just the PGAs little pet dog.. I guess they'll get a little treat

  2. It seems the fines are a principle thing and don't amount to much of a penalty given the amount of money these players received to go to LIV golf. And also as stated toward the end of video, LIV plans to pay for the fines anyway. So no skin off the back of any of those that broke their contractual obligation with the DP Tour or PGA Tour those players signed as independent contractors. Pretty straight forward as no one forced them to sign those contracts.

  3. Well isn't that just too bad…They should be excommunicated from golf completely! Liv golf is a joke 54 hole exibition! Next event is a shotgun start scramble with their mascot tRump leading the paarade lmao 🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂

  4. The problem began when LIV golf took leverage; of the best players for the PGA and know DT tour. That's like stealing and now they want to compete against their own biases-

  5. So if that's the case. So can't they do the same to the guys that miss the DP tour events to play PGA events. The problem is they're only going after the LIV.

  6. The DP tour can go suck an egg. The PGA and DP Tour get money from many China and other nation, the it the now The Chines back PGA and DP tour. A nation that has the worst record on earth on many issues, child labor, communist nation, environmental damages, COVID, etc etc. As for this ruling…it is PURE BS! As for World Ranking Point…the pointing ranking is a WORTHLESS and a JOKE!

  7. DP Tour sucks. It's irrelevant and will be dead within 10 years unless they stop this nonsense and start acting like adults. Trying to fine players that made the European Tour and also won Ryder Cup for Europe is cringeworthy. This video is also clickbait by a PGA tour fanboy it seems. LIV isn't going anywhere so the PGA tour and DP tour are wasting their time trying to protect their monopoly. The only thing that is protecting the pga tour and dp tour is illegally stopping LIV players getting ranking points. Everyone knows that the quality of elite players on LIV is as good as the PGA Tour. They also have a majority of the best personalities in the game.

The PGA and European tour should work with liv as they are diminishing their own product by trying to destroy something which they can't. Once LIV players start winning majors and they will(and nearly happened already at the masters) how quickly do you think the PGA tour will come to the table for talks. Their plan to ban LIV players from the majors failed because the majors didn't want their sport wrecked by a monopoly protecting the status quo.

The PGA Tour needs to realise they don't run the sport. It's a global game and they are only one component. If the PGA Tour look at what's best for the sport of golf they would be embarrassed with how they have been acting. The PGA Tour had no intention of growing the game internationally and the copying of the LIV product was only in response to LIV. If the PGA Tour and European Tour continue down this destructive path they will be bankrupt in the long run.

  8. I think these other golf tours need to get over themselves. There are so many other tours players can choose to play on what make the LIV tour any different from the other tours. It's just because the Saudi government is backing them. Golf is Golf no matter where it is played and which tour sponsors it. Golfers are independent contractors and should have the right to choose where they want to compete, and not be punished for that decision. I will always back the Golfers and not the tyrants who try to control their careers.

  9. It's about the fact that they ran for the money (which was their right) but then they decided that want what the other tours offer as well.

  10. Not content with just making up the numbers on the PGA Tour, these three are now making up the numbers on the LIV Tour. Every event they are miles behind the leaders and yet they still need a dump truck to take their money home. They should be embarrassed, but they’re not.

  11. DP missed out the most by not aligning with LIV….they picked the wrong side …because now they are a minor tour and just a feeder tour for the PGA…
I think its time we all grew up a bit…as fans why are we upset about it…its just more golf more choice…..and the pros are getting more money and more benifits all round….and the tours are in the spotlight more…so everyones a winner….
The whole things a joke….the back biting and sniping needs to stop….you don't become a hasbeen just because you choose to play in a different arena….
Act your age PGA and DP not you shoe size….LIV is here for the foreseeable future embrace it….

  12. Golf is essentially a individual competition, not a team sport, in my opinion. The LIV concept is hokey at best for the game of golf. It just doesn’t present itself well for golf fans and an individual contest. I’ve yet to watch a LIV event and many of my golfing friends say the same. This is besides the whole separate sport washing debate.

The thing that sticks with me is the brazen attempt to have your cake and eat it, so to speak. In conflicting event dates the LIV is taking away from the very tours that allowed these golfers to be this very position. I have no problem in them being fined for occasions when the LIV dates conflict with the tour that allowed them to come to prominence in the first place. Let the LIV tour have its own dates no conflicts and if it’s good enough format for fans it will grow. On a personal level the LIV just doesn’t resonate as a true individual competitive golf event. Golf world ranking should be based on individual competition events, not LIV team events, when I suspect many golfers not in the actual individual scoring leading are somewhat not bothered? As their team is well ahead?? These players got their millions for signing with the LIV (many of whom were multi millionaires anyway) let them live with the consequences of signing with the LIV. Don’t compete against your birth tour dates and therefore harm the very tour that brought you to prominence in the first place. Fine em, they can afford it.

  13. liv have already promised to honour any fines, makes no difference to liv players, they just enjoying life at liv and i dont blame them 😉

  14. After the fact retaliation, Screw the 2nd rate DP Tour’s adolescent greed
…after all these months of no apparent legal action = “tacit approval”

  15. Extreme caution needed when referencing ‘Mail Sport’ as a source of information:

  16. It’s clear that the PGA doesn’t want any competition and have strong effluence with the DP tour, world ranking points, and the media. LIV GOLF is refreshing and as a result of this new start up, the PGA has found millions of dollars to hold on to their players and keep their sponsors in check. If the golf world truly wants the world’s best players competing in the majors, then give make the ranking points available now. It’s time to recognize that LIV is here to stay and growing its fan base. Oh and this business of human rights, maybe we should take a look in the mirror and don’t forget China where we outsource all our golf stuff.
