Great ball striking is at the heart of great golf, being able to strike the ball solid every time is not only more enjoyable but vital to shooting lower scores, but how do you guarantee that perfect contact every time?
Over the past 20 years coaching there have been a few drills and concepts that have proven to work more than any others, this is one of those ‘magical’ drills that always seems to give immediate results.
I call this the ‘Banana’ drill and in this video I share with you just why this is my #1 ball striking move that you need to try but almost nobody talks about

I assume you forgot to add in the images of Justin Rose!? 🤔
Where's the Justin Rose setup and impact visual?
The Banana move! What insights to the game you have. I tried many of them and they work. Thanks Amigo!
Great informative video. In trying to replicate the ‘banana’ shape I’ve started to hit down on the ball, literally hammering it into the ground. So annoying
What if you start topping the ball or hitting it too low?
Never thought I'd enjoy watching Chris' big banana
Thing u added John Cena instead of Justin Rose lol
I think you added a photo of John Cena instead of Justin Rose mate
Well done Chris 👏 😊
Admit it Chris, this commentary was a dare? 😁
I guess Justin Rose didn’t feel like showing up 😂
Really enjoy your helpful videos Chris, very much appreciate your efforts to help us enjoy the game of golf!
Love this stuff!!! What about an impact drill
Like this for the driver?
Would this work for driver as well?
When I strike the ball good, which admittedly is rare, I feel that my trail foot (right foot) toe is actually sliding a little bit closer to my left foot, maybe 3 inches or more. Is this what you mean by shift?
I have always wanted to know how to do this, thank you! Watching tournaments on television I could never figure out the "banana." Btw, the Justin Rose video or pic doesn't show up as you are discussing them. Cheers and thanks.
