I think the wording on the saints in the title is off. Yes they are 5 and 1 with many players out. But who have they beat, let's rattle them off. Freo, biggest slider of 2023 easy bottom 8 finish. Dogs, played them before they started to figure themselves out but at their best probably won't crack top 6. Gold Coast. Been a mid table team for a while and are probably still not a finals team yet. Essondon, bottom 4 last year but playing a squeak better. And carlton 9th last year, havnt really improved and were missing their most damaging back men. The one time they played a good team they should've lost by 4 goals and t could've been 5 had elliot not dropped a chest mark 20 meters out. A late comeback was just false advertising for saints fans. St kilda are still a finals team but not a true contender.

Blues are just not on. Not a connected team, game plan is not working. No explosive footy that actually worked for us in spurts last year. Players have no confidence, McKay, JSOS, Hewitt in particular, and unfortunately I put that down to coaching.
