He was already set up for life but now no one watches him, the Australian event is sold out cos it's the only event they got travelling over there, still a great player but hes given up on competitive golf and 2 years ago a fit keopka wouldn't have given up that lead and crumble like that.
end of the day for a 100 million I bet 99.9 % of us would go….hes set for life , his family is set for life… loves playing golf who the heck really cares what hes won except the media….ruined his career ? For 100 million i would love to ruin my career any day…lol…we need less drama and just enjoy watching and playing the great game of golf….cheers from Canada

Your definition of the word "ruined" is completely different from mine. He made more from signing with LIV than my entire extended family will make in a lifetime and to you that is a ruined career.

It is obvious that you guys are pga and affiliate supporters and are LIV trolls. The Masters results have shattered most of your narratives that you still continue to push. Growing the game of golf is exactly what is happening here as can be analyzed using the examples of cricket T20 and rugby 7’s throughout the world.
The current form of athletes should not be the basis of motivating one’s point as this should be debated and decided upon by the administrators and lawyers who are experienced trained in their fields.
Observing the spectators and sportsmen within the LIV golf experience thus far, I am of the opinion that it is here to stay as it embraces the change that was long overdue to keep up with other sports.
Bottom line and the way forward would be for the PGA and LIV to work together to achieve a win win situation as the other sport disciplines have proven.
I really enjoy your golf tips and lessons. Try to see the bigger picture and put forward constructive discussion and points that do not fuel or troll either side.
I agree. An important part of a professional golfers career is name recognition and notoriety not just career earnings. If Cameron is a great golfer but nobody knows it where does that leave his legacy. How does he become some kids golf hero?
1. LIV has no individual “LIV Championship” to qualify as a major which means LIV have 3 majors opportunities where the PGA has 4.
2. LIV is rubbish at marketing their players whereas the PGA does a great job of promoting their players making them more marketable in the advertising space and a household name.
3. LIV broadcasting is poorly promoted. Their website schedule says nothing about CW broadcast or broadcast times. There is no advertising so it’s up to the viewers to seek them out where the PGA gets the word out everywhere.
4. Ryder Cup involvement unknown.
5. No FedEx Cup season overall standings comparable event.
I reckon he knew what he was signing up for & golf will change plus the Majors will be better having all top players attending no matter what tour.

I would make the argument that the PGA fucked him over. As well as all the LIV golfers. It's the PGA who decided to penalize them for wanting to play there. They refused to work with LIV and wanted the monopoly they had on Golf.
I'd be interested in seeing if your opinions change after the Australian round of LIV. Cam looks like he's having a blast of a time, along with all the other players, including Brooks.

Guys, this was a horrible piece and I'm frankly surprised you went down this rabbit hole. Greg Norman's done nothing to hurt Cam's career. Cam took a LOT of time off in the winter to spend it visiting his family in Australia, who he wasn't able to see during the pandemic years. He admitted he hardly swung a club during the winter and was using the first few LIV events to begin rounding his game into form. You saw some evidence of this at Augusta and he put togehter a solid round yesterday during the LIV Adelaide tourney. By the time the U.S. Open rolls around his game will be near where it was at the height of last year. I'm not worried about him, nor should you. He's too good a talent.
I look at it like LIV Golf took some players to play only 3 days a week a handful of times each year. The golfers wear short pants like their caddies and don't wear shirts that look like NASCAR cars. On the other hand the PGA Tour still plays 4 day tournaments many times each year and still wear long pants. I'd say that the LIV doesn't stand for 54 as much as it stands for Look I'm Vacationing. I don't need money and will strut around some golf courses every year to get my ego stroked. Cameron was young and immature when he made the decision to quit golf and go on vacation with a "boat load" of money. Also where are the Vacation golfers getting their new blood? Do they want new blood? The PGA has kids in college champing at the bit to get a card and join. It's like my dad used to say "All that glitters is not gold." Work hard every day and never let your shirt tail hit your A**. Therefore I think Cam Smith should be able to break his contract with the Vacation tour but I have heard that you become indentured to the Saudi's once you sign. I'm afraid that he will have to lay in the bed he made. But what do I know. I'm old and my brain is a little slower that it once was. Sorry for my rant but you solicited comments so I decided to give you one.
Seems to me there is more than the PGA Tour. There is also the DP Tour. If the DP Tour is included so should LIV. So much bias in this video. It’s as if you think a regular company employee should never be allowed to leave their employer for higher wages which is just damn ridiculous. More money, less days of work, less weeks working. If you worked in a factory and someone offered you triple your lifetime salary with less hours what would you do? Be honest you pompous Brits.
Cam has over 100 million, if not more, in the bank. Im sure the rest of his life is fine.
I said something along these lines when Cam Smith announced he was joining LIV. Very hard for him to decline a good LIV offer because: (i) Grey Norman will be an idol for Cam for obvious reasons; how do you refuse your idol; (ii) the reduced travel schedule is more significant for an Australian than for an American as a high number of events were in America anyone; Cam’s travel schedule pre-LIV would have been something awful and all the more so if you are a home lover; and (iii) the bucket loads of money you mention.
So, while he is set for life financially, there is a strong chance Cam Smith’s career in terms of significant wins and high placings in majors might be compromised. Only time will ultimately tell but the point is looking well made and looking more probable than not.
Obviously he made his own bed here so no deep sympathy for him but I am disappointed as I had really high hopes for what he might have achieved in the game.
I BELIEVE THAT THE THEME OF LIV GOLF SHOULD BE FOR THOSE PLAYERS OVER 40 YEARS OLD, WHO HAVE ALREADY WON MANY PGA TOUR TOURNAMENTS, ARE LEGENDS AND GO TO THE LIV TO HAVE FUN LIKE A WEEKEND WITH FRIENDS AND HAVE A FEW BEERS
He’ll be Okay, he’s a great player and things will make a turn for the better for both LIV and PGA..
He had a injury prior to jumping to LIV. Looks like the injury affected his play and he's not back in top form. Just like Bryson he hasn't played great after his injuries.
Injuries might also play a big part in players decision to move to LIV Bryson, Cam Smith,. Brooks, Bubba are all coming from injury. There's so much uncertainty once you get injury at least with LIV they have financial stability.
I "love" how people who aren't Cam Smith like to put words in his mouth and determine that his career / legacy is ruined. This shows us how much LIV is disrupting the Old Boys club.
Cam will be fine. The Masters ratings is a telling tale that we are hungry for these headlines and love to see the matchups of LIV vs PGA. The golf speaks for itself but you can't ignore the anticipation of what will happen. The other Majors will be just as exciting and they know it. More eyes more interest. Once the world ranking points come, it's must watch TV at every major, even The PGA which is the worst of the 4.

I can see the point of fading professionals, not yet seniors, joining the LIV tour as a means to try for a retirement fund but people like Cam Smith? He had the potential for greater things on the PGA/DP tours!
