  1. i am so tired about hearing about a gaurd. skoranski shouldn’t even be picked in the first round. offensive guard is one of the most low value positions in the NFL. i wouldn’t trade chase claypool for an interior olineman and he might suck. lol

  2. Hoge love for skronski is easy to see and biased but you don't take a guard in the top 10 it's not a superbowl caliber move. Zach Martin and Quentin Nelson hall of fame guards neither of those teams have a shot at a superbowl because of there play.

  3. If Jalen Carter is there at #9, Poles is running to the podium to draft him unless someone offers a kings ransom to trade down. You can't be Matt Eberflus and state how the 3-Tech is the most important position on the defense and then have a chance to draft a possible generational 3-Tech in Carter and pass. Poles is calculating, but he's also not a chicken. (Stop saying Nolan Smith! He is a 3-4 outside backer. System players are super important to Poles! Why do you think he trade Roquan? Not because he wasn't elite, but because he didn't fit the system.)

  4. THREE PLAYERS IN ONE: Ryan Poles loves players with a DIVERSITY of skills. Generational Running back, BIJAN ROBERTSON, is also a GREAT RECEIVER and blocks like a TACKLE when protecting the QB. He would also give the Bears a hedge against the very real possibility that Justin Fields may only develops into an AVERAGE passer. But, with his running skills combined with a terrific running back could give the Bears an unstoppable running attack, and nothing helps out an average QB passer more than a great running game. Although Bijan Robertson is ranked No 5, because teams are considering running backs low priority, the Mock Drafts show him getting PICKED in the No 18 to No 26 position. Ryan Poles has worked out a BLOCKBUSTER 'Trade Down to No 17 Package' with the Steelers if Jalen Carter is available at their No 9 spot. And if one of the four top QB's is still available at No 9, he could probably also get a BLOCKBUSTER Trade Down Deal. Down to No 11 if he trades with the TITANS, No 14 if he trades with the PATRIOTS, No 16 if he trades with the COMMANDERS. Ryan Poles may even trade down again to the bottom of the 1st Round in order to get a LARGE QUANTITY of Picks, and if he does that, he still may be able to get Bijan Robertson, and I would be so disappointed if Ryan Poles and company do not see the potential if he is still available at the bottom of the 1st Round.

  5. Pass rushers are mostly gone by 53 but OL are still plenty to be found. The difference is those DL athletes go off the board so quickly. If Jalen Carter is there take him, but he wont be. I like Myles Murphy, and they might be able to trade back a few spots and still get him.

  6. I’d say that EDGE is even more deep than IOL and especially OT in this draft. I could easily see Bergeron, JMS, Avila, and Tippmann going before the Bears pick at 53. But when it comes to EDGE odds are guys like Derick Hall, Foskey, Zach Harrison and Isaiah McGuire are available in the late second/early third.

  7. Hoge is so salty about the pushback there's been on his picks. 😂

He is coming around to understanding the importance of scheme, though.

  8. Getting an elite tackle to protect Fields and open the running game just makes so much sense that Poles absolutely will do it at 9.

  9. Nfl is a game of inches. 2 tenths of a second could take you from high pick to undrafted. Having 2 inch shorter arms than any slightly productive tackle would be gambling longshots

  10. What if tackle isnt in their blue players, what if anderson carter jsn bijan wilson and nolan smith are their blue players with bryce young? Would they take best player available? Id hope so thats my blue list take one of them if available or trade back. PJJ and Darnell Wrighr best o line fits imo

  11. I've been fighting the Bears (in my head anyway) on this issue for more than a decade. After I watched the Giants sack Jay Cutler 10 times … it's a problem we never seem to address. We need to shore up that offensive line and make it an elite unit. One of the biggest reasons we don't win more games is because of points. We never score enough points. We HAVE to get better there. But everyone is always so concerned about our defense. Everyone saying the defense sucks. The reason we don't win more is because of lack of points. And to get that, you have to protect the quarterback and maul guys in the run game.
I'm at the point with the Bears where I don't care who the best player available is in this draft. If we don't get better at pass blocking, it'll be another year of Justin running around and getting sacked 4 times a game.
The first pick should be the best Tackle and the second should be the best Center. We can upgrade Guard or the other Tackle next year if need be. There's plenty of picks after the first two where we could get some DTs and edge rushers.

Score points first and worry about stopping offenses later. The wins will come. Guarranteed.
If the Bears take Jalen Carter at 9 … well sorry, get used to watching Justin on his back again and the calls for a new QB next year.

  12. You need blue chip offensive lineman to protect Justin Fields. There’s none of them and the second round at tackle. One of our biggest problems last year was tackle and center. Right now we have to centers with Cody and Lucas. We need to take a tackle at nine. Either Peter, Paris, or Broderick. Preferably Peter. I don’t care about his short arms at all. He looks like the best tackle out there. There’s tackles right now in the NFL that have short arms that made the Pro bowl. If we don’t protect, Justin will be looking for another quarterback in a couple years.

  13. I love the draft and all the talk, but….. I'm so over draft talk. Can't wait for this to happen.

  14. I’m so sick of all you homers, Peter is NOT the best lineman in this draft and it isn’t even close! Pairs Johnson is clearly better! Peter isn’t even a Bear fan, he loves the fudge packers and all you clowns think he’s so great. He got beat multiple times by a guy who couldn’t even start!

  15. Teven was our best O-lineman last year & we just paid Nate to come here this year. We should not draft Skowronski at 9th!!!

  16. We #9 our next pick is 53rd so if we are to get a tackle. Just pick the best one regardless if it might be early because I don't believe any of the best players will still be there at 53.

  17. Paris Johnson Jr is the only offensive lineman worthy of the #9 pick. Take Carter or Johnson Jr or trade down.

  18. An all pro guard is not more valuable than a good tackle. If the kid can’t play tackle than you can’t draft him at 9. This will be an epic waste if we end up scooping a guard.

  19. I think its a given that we trade back from 9 with either Steelers, Texans etc. Too much of a gap between 9 and 53. If we swap 9 for 17 and our Claypool trade pick, we will be stronger for it.
If Carter is at 9, I think we go for him.
Just don't see why we want to sign a LT when we need to plug a bigger gap at RT

  20. If Hoge can understand Nolan Smith being too small to fit a 4-3 scheme at edge, why can’t he understand Skoronski arms being too short to be a tackle? Also Skoronski has never played guard it’s no guarantee he’s great there either, he maybe but no guarantee
