►So many different ways to chip, I was inspired by The Masters, so I went back to basics and stopped over-complicating my chipping action and it has rejuvenated my short game.

What if it's all basically extended into the full swing? Does it work?
enjoying your lessons Andy! But I'm wondering about this Chipping hint. I changed from that to Pete Cowens chipping and had mor succes while under stress….
Great chipping lesson Andy and you really make it look easy, the wrist and hands can definately be your enemy when Chipping
Great stuff, simple is best! This actually happened to me during my round yesterday, playing by myself. I hit my approach right of the green and had a chip to the green of about 15 feet or so with the pin another 20 feet past that. My first chip I hit fat (and never even reached the green) and realized I wasn't turning my hips with the shot so I set up again and this time made sure I used my knees and hips to initiate the chip (rather than rely on perfect timing of my arms and hands) and I hit the chip to within two feet. Kind of the "AHA" moment. Thanks Andy for this video confirming my thoughts on what my issue was.
Yes that is a long hole but is normally with the wind, was my favourite hole while I was there.
Is it good to flick the wrists when chipping? I feel like it helps me. If I stiffen up and triangle only I feel like the fat/thin gets worse
I really like this triangle set up Andy with the arms and shoulders. The thought of keeping the club in front of your body is excellent. Being "handsy" is not good! Setting the wrists is better! As you pointed out, be sure to rotate the shoulders and hips through the shot! Good Job Andy!
Keeping it simple is best for me; any time I try to get "clever" it goes belly up. Making sure I follow through is key.
Great tips Andy – cheers buddy
I am all about my wedges and wedge game right now. Perfect content for it!
Looks good, are you hinging the wrists in any way . Thanks
Great tip! I was always taught that the short chip swing was a one-piece move, i.e., the arms and club were locked together with no wrist action. Different types of chip shots were achieved by changing the club. Higher loft clubs for the pop and drop shots and lower loft clubs for pitch and run shots. Your tip fits well with that style. Thanks for sharing!
Great content Andy! Any recommendations when selecting wedges for your bag? Like should I have a 56°,58° and a 60° or should there more of a degree difference between each wedge?
Yes, more hips less wrists. Calm hands.
I was doing this yday at the local range… not cocking the wrists and casting the club is a tiger send 👍
It depends on where you live and play different techniques for different grass i used to play on only bermuda you have to use the bounce i play on bent grass now i only use the leading edge
I've done this for the last few months and I've seen brilliant results. I'm getting good with distance control and even as a mid-handicapper, I'm managing to get up and down way more often now.
I have had a few funny looks from my friends, saying I'm too 'rigid' or 'stiff' when I do actually hit it badly, but I do shrug it off when I know I'm the better golfer because of how much more consistent I am, while using the bounce. 😀
Hope your good mate, simply!!!, in a hard game is always a helps, lol, rick needs to watch this lol, and also needs to see and recognise true friends and maybe help promote there channels a bit more. You, Pete and friars channels are just as good.
