Oh c'mon. This is an utter non-story. Do you know exactly how many Top 30 visit draftees the Patriots hosted last year and then drafted? That would be ZERO. I know the Pats don't say anything, but in this case, yes, it is exactly that: due diligence…and/or possibly a bit of misdirection. Why? What to do if, by some chance, he drops to 14? Do they at least CONSIDER drafting him? I doubt they do…but oh, have they ever intentionally telegraphed a misdirection to other teams before the draft? Oh, maybe a couple dozen times. This is a non-story.
Pats need receivers, I’m not so sure it’s the qb.

Mac Jones stats vs Chargers 2021 was 18/35 for 218yds, 0 TD. Herbert was 18/35 223, 2 TD, 2 Int. Mac didn't look special at all in that game BTW. Chill with the Jones hype Rich. Sheesh

Sometimes you have to be willing to cut your losses; Mac Jones will never deliver a conference championship or a SuperBowl. Bottom line is Zappe is a better QB and stretching the field. Mac has horrible vision and at times throws into coverage when other receivers are open. Not the coaches fault if you can't see the field.
This is simply Belichick warning Mac Jones to stay in his lane.
Patriots should trade up with the Bears and get Levis. That will be epic

I’m also glad Brady didn’t sign a 1 day contract and retire with the Pats I bet that bugs Bill deep down

The Patriots look at everyone. Everyone. Don’t read into it. Getting a look at a player who could go to a rival is valuable info. Not saying that’s what’s happening, but they look at a ton of people they never draft.
