The DP World Tour hosts its first-ever event in Japan this week, with high-class international players descending on the PGM Ishioka Golf Club for the ISPS HANDA – CHAMPIONSHIP, Omitama. Four-time Major Champion Ernie Ells will be in the hunt for a third career win in Japan this week. Thomas Bjørn is looking for more success in Japan, having won the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in 1999 and 2003. Rasmus Højgaard will fancy his chances as well after finishing in the top twenty in the Dubai Desert Classic and tying for sixth in the Ras Al Khaimah Championship. Yannick Paul is also a frontrunner, after taking nearly two months off after leaving The DGC Open sat inside the top three of the European Rankings for Luke Donald’s Ryder Cup team. The DP World Tour’s first-ever disabled golfer, Brandon Lawlor, will be returning this week after competing for the first time previously on The DP World Tour at the ISPS HANDA UK Championship, in August 2020. Rafa Cabrera Bello Robert MacIntyre, Guido Migliozzi, Antione Rozner, Marcel Siem and Nicolas Colsaerts will also be battling it out for Championship glory.

  1. Nice to see them still being able to play good golf…but Phil is the only one who understood that he will have to become great athlete in order to have longevity and he has done it great
