  1. Great video Stuart one of your best to date 👏🏾👏🏾 Would love to try this but don't have access to a trackman 😔
Any chance of you doing a coaching video of a low, mid and high handicap player. I've always found them interesting and relatable to watch.

  2. Thanks for doing this (as requested) Stuart – shows that ability to chip and 2 putt from 30 feet is so important to us handicappers 😀

  3. This is great content, I have been researching strokes gained, reading Mark Brodie's work etc. Expectations are I believe being set incorrectly by watching PGA golf which when you think about it is a running commentary on the best shots, not the average and poor shots as that wouldn't be good TV. It's subliminal but it does give us warped expectations. Strokes gained suggest that tour pro's make 50% of 10-foot puts. Some interesting thinking around don't chase birdies but eliminate double bogies to reduce handicap. I would love more content on strategy, seen some data that suggests that aiming and clubbing for the centre and back of the green is a good strategy, linked to proximity data from stokes gained.

  4. The other point I have seen on expectations relates to scores over a season and what you expect when you go out to play. This was based on the lowest score in a season and the highest score, even with tour pro's the variance is high circa 20 shots. The supposition was to think of our scoring like a bell curve and our target is to move the bell curve rather than fixate on a particular score. Thoughts?

  5. The problems occur for us mere mortals when on one hole we hit a 100 ydr inside 15 ft and then subsequently expect to do it again on
Subsequent holes….ie consistency would help with expectations…… great points raised though Stu.

  6. Fantastic video, the amount of ego is this game is incredible, youtube is rammed full of comments from folks who say they "average" 170 plus ball speed and fly driver over 290 "average" they hit 7 iron 180 plus all hit wedge 150 and yet the average handicapp is……… Great job done for making this channel fresh and different from most of the other garbage on here!!!

  7. Loved this mate, does nothing to help my desire to get a TM though. In my scorecard holder I've got the scoring averages noted down for PGA and LPGA from the fairway. It's not something I look at often but on those ones where I might feel something about an outcome it's useful to bring you back to reality. From 140 yards it takes the ladies more than 3 shots to hole out. If I knock a 9 iron into 2 putt range I'm doing as well as someone who is getting paid to play!
