Swinging harder is actually such good advice. I have pretty good club head speed and distance, and when I catch myself trying to pat pat the ball I can tell my strike and control disappear. I swing at around 120 mph club head and my accuracy is better at that speed than 110 mph.
I try to swing as wide as I can which gives me massive recoil and more power. I also set my club head almost a club head width away from the ball to really help me sweep the ball and hit up on the ball.
