  1. JR is very good at these podcasts. Plus JJs questions. Good podcast! I really love listening tp these types of stories

  2. Is JR eligible for NIL deals as a collegiate athlete? I imagine he can literally rake in outrageous sums of endorsement dough! How is it that his University has not offered him a full ride scholarship and a position as an assistant basketball coach for the mens team?

  3. This interview was outstanding. It flowed naturally, with no interruptions, and how JJ was able to relate to some of his experiences👌🏾👌🏾

  4. Gotta be honest. I didn't quite like him in his early career esp for his style of play. Then, him being a target for one mistake at cav puts him on some type of joke material made me look at career differently. He just needed good teammates and mission. I am really glad that he had a great career and 2nd chapter that everyone can see him as a mature human being. Thanks for this podcast to show a glimpse of it.

  5. From these great interviews its seems the NBA is taking a a HUGE L by not adding veterans to their team someone who can relate to the younger players showing the ropes the game with in the game and how you should conduct themselves on and off the court let's be honest as of minority I can see how the racial barrier against coaches and players and cultural hurdles may arise respect may be there game time but having an veteran may be the Gap and overall produce a better product in whole if the nba dosent want to have mismatches or ja morant incidents

  6. He was the nba meme culture king back in 15-18. Getting flashbacks of good ol times

  7. JJ and Tommy fantastic questions and you let JR tell his story Loved It great player great competitor as a Knicks fan was sad to see JR and Shump leave but happy they won a chip 🔥🏆

  8. So you verbally advertised for a gambling site and tacitly implied that betting for the grizzlies would be a good thing. You're better than this.

  9. Looks like that grizzlies winning game 1 pick didn’t work out for you JJ 😂🤣😆😆

  10. Happy to see he’s invested in growth more than ever now that he retired, he gave my 11 year old self some of the best memories watching him as a knick

  11. JR inspired me to finish my degree. I thought I wouldn’t need it since I got a great career going, but this man has NBA championships, awards, all that, and he could obviously comfortably retire, but he chooses to continue to invest in himself with a college education. The example he’s setting for his kids is amazing too.

  12. I'll get flack for this, but KLove, TT and big dummy JR were bums in Cleveland. Bron gave us a chip but he was a ball hog and kind of ruined the game. I saw MJ play and no one has been that good. JR was lazy, never reached his potential.

  13. JJ Redick is what we’ve been missing in the sports podcasting world. He articulates very well, knows when to throw in his jokes (but doesn’t overdo it), always compliments his interviewee when necessary, and most importantly LETS THEM SPEAK!
on the other hand what a great guy Jr.Smith is. Coming to to the league at 18 years old must of been a night and day switch and to here his story is truly inspiring!

  14. Well there obviously has to be another JR episode because there were no questions about him not knowing the score in game one of the finals

  15. I remember when JR was a young pup in the league and thought he was just a dumb punk. Now that I'm older and after having watched this I see how wrong I was and what an amazing journey and career JR had
